I never did hear from the Old Factory Candle winner. Being that was well over a week ago, I chose a new winner! The new winner is Marcy Cerra Williams who visited Fit ‘n’ Cookies on Facebook. Congratulations! Send me an email at fitncookies (at) gmail (dot) com to claim your winnings. You have until Sunday!
Good morning! It’s crazy that Christmas is in 2 days, as we still have lots to get done! Tonight Aaron and I are having my cousins over for a fun night, and they are sleeping over, and then tomorrow is Christmas Eve! I better get to the store and buy all the food I need for breakfasts/brunches/and appetizers. While I’m off doing that, here are TWO new workouts you can give a try this week.
Run Run Reindeer Workout:
Complete on your choice of cardio equipment. You are going to complete a 5 minute warm up by walking, then pick it up. Sprint it out for 30 seconds at a 0 incline, then take it down a little to a run at a .5 incline, then recover with a slight jog or walking for 1 minute at a 1.0 incline, then repeat. It will be a sweaty 30 minute workout!
12 Days of Christmas Workout
This workout is done just like the song. You will start with day 1, then move on to day 2 and repeat day 1. Next, move on to day 3, repeat day 2, and day 1. Move all the way up to day 12, where you repeat everything before it.
We actually did this one last night in my Bodysculpt class. One lady questioned if every class was like this, and another said “Good thing Christmas is only once a year.” haha It was perfect to get into the holiday spirit! I had a playlist of Christmas songs and we got nice and sweaty
Links to the videos:
- Squats with Upright Row- can’t believe I don’t have this! Come into a squat position like this video and then as you stand up, perform an upright row .

- Plank walks (we did 4 each way)
- Jumping Jacks and High Knees
- Push Ups
- Bicep Curls
- Deadlift (take feet out wider than hip width)
- Back Flys
- In and Out Abs
- Glute Bridges
- Leg lifts in plank position
Quick workout recap…
Tuesday: 3 mile run on the treadmill (morning 26:20) and taught interval sculpt at night.
Wednesday: Taught Interval Sculpt and did a different 12 days of Christmas workout with more cardio.
Thursday: Woke up, changed, all ready to run, except I was exhausted, so I went back to bed. I declared it a rest day.
Friday: Woke up and got in a 5.25 mile run (45 min). I was feeling great and it was the perfect start to the last crazy day before Christmas vacation.
Saturday: 4 mile run (32:30) before spa day. I didn’t necessarily plan this, but I had a rough night of sleep Friday night and ended up waking up early.
Sunday: Nada. Felt glorious.
Monday: Taught Bodysculpt with this workout last night. That leaves us to today! I am hoping to get in a run of some nature outside today.
Total miles this year: 647.81 miles
