End your day in a relaxing way. Today I’m sharing 5 easy ways to relax, all of which are FREE, plus some other options if you want to get out and about.
After the last few days, (which are nothing in the scope of what many deal with!), I have found myself really needing to just relax and unwind at the end of the night. Emotionally and mentally I’m exhausted. The constant worry and lack of sleep from worrying about a fever spiking is enough to make you go crazy! Add in being 26 weeks preggo and whoa, I need some wine.
Here are 5 easy ways to relax.
1. Get into comfy clothes, put away electronics, and pick up a book.
Reading is so peaceful, am I right? It usually puts me to sleep, too, ha! I love getting lost in a novel and having to know what happens at the end. I’m a huge fan of Jodi Picoult, Nicholas Sparks, and James Patterson. I am in the process of reading Me Before You and I am LOVING it!
2. Turn on a show that you’ve seen over and over so you don’t have to concentrate.
Friends, Parks and Rec, Grey’s Anatomy. Those are some of the shows I’ve seen over and over and I love! I won’t say I don’t relax in front of new TV shows, but when I need to concentrate, it doesn’t help me relax. I like being able to zone in and out of the show.
3. Paint your nails.
I feel so put together with a fresh manicure. I don’t have (or make) time to get them done (plus I’m cheap), so I love sitting down, and knowing that after I paint them, I can’t do anything!
4. Go for a walk.
Fresh air does wonders! We’ve been so extremely blessed with nice weather this past week. I have loved getting out and getting a walk in!
5. Pick up a trashy magazine.
There’s nothing better than diving into a magazine that has so much gossip and you question what’s real and what’s fake. I LOVE IT! I don’t do it nearly enough, but gosh any time I have and can relax, it’s my favorite way.
Other ways you can relax:
- Take a bubble bath
- Enjoy a glass of wine
- Go out for a date night
- Head to the movies
- Go for a shopping spree
- Go to Target alone
