It’s been a while since I’ve gone running. Just wasn’t fitting in but I really missed it. Well, I got out of work about 40 minutes early- enough time to head to the trail and run before making it home. I know Annabelle is excited to see me after nap, so I really wanted to be back for that and somehow I dressed fully in my running clothes for work (Casual on Friday). It was the best run. Physically- not really. I hurt after starting out a bit too fast, but regardless, I got in almost 4 miles and made it home before A woke up. Such a great way to start the weekend!
Friday evening my SIL, BIL and kids, plus my other SIL and her boyfriend came over for dinner and to hang out! After they all left, I enjoyed some wine on the couch before falling asleep a little on the early side.
Saturday morning I went and got us some donuts, along with a frozen chai tea latte- it was SO good. Aaron got me one for my birthday and I’ve dreamed about it since. After breakfast, I took Annabelle to Walmart, soccer, and then grocery shopping before she helped Aaron cut the grass while I made buffalo chicken dip and went down for a nap.
After naps, we headed to my aunts for my uncles 60th birthday party! He’s been through so much this past year, and this was a huge birthday. We were very happy to be there and celebrate! The party was huge and it just showed how loved he is.
Sunday morning was slow. I’m not sure why but both Aaron and I were feeling on the slow side, but we rallied. I went to Target alone, took A to get her cake ordered for her birthday, watched some of the Steelers, then took Nolan to get his hips x-rayed (precautionary, I think at least), quickly went to my parents to print a bunch of things for A’s party next week, put some stuff together, edited photos, my BIL came home, and I started watching The Office. Whew, it was a busy one.
With that, I ended the weekend with another glass of wine on the couch and relaxing. Perfect end to the weekend and start to the week.
