…that was anything but planned.
I’ve been toying with the idea of having Annabelle head to my parents for a day so Aaron and I can get stuff done. There are a ton of little things we want to accomplish before baby boy comes, but with only one nap, and things that actually make too much noise to do, I thought it would be a great idea to have an entire day.
Then. Wednesday happened. Started at 5 am, I heard Aaron’s alarm and as I awoke, I didn’t feel well. Well, neither did Aaron. We quickly both came down with the stomach flu, and you guys, it was terrible. Aaron thought at first he felt okay to handle Annabelle, but we quickly realized that wasn’t the case, so we had my mom come and get her, for what we hoped was a few hours. As an entire day passed with neither of us getting better, she ended up staying over my parents. I’m so thankful my mom was able to take her and clear her day. I honestly don’t know what we would’ve done. A was adorable as we all cuddled in bed waiting for my mom. She snuggled right up to me as she knew I needed it.
THE GOOD NEWS! Is that it’s currently Thursday morning and both of us woke up feeling so much better. Which is great because I couldn’t handle it, ha. Puking when you have a basketball sized belly is pretty much the worst thing. I’ll spare you all the extra details, ha. I wouldn’t say I’m 100% but I can’t wait to go get my little girl!
So yeah… we had a day without the kiddo, but it wasn’t planned, wasn’t fun, and made me start thinking about how terrible labor is and I’m not looking forward to it, ha.
Picture from Monday, before any of us got sick.
I should say that Annabelle was throwing up Monday night out of no where (2 times before bed, and then we found she threw up shortly after bed, and again after we changed her that time!), but because it was so out of the blue and at night, we had thought it was something she ate. Nope. Stomach virus. That pesky little thing.
Today I’m going to soak up the cuddles, play with my girl, while still taking it easy and making sure this is totally gone!
