At the beginning of Lent, I came up with a set of goals I wanted to work towards. At the beginning of March, I came up with some fitness goals for the month ahead. Now that both are over, let’s see how I did, and what else I may need to work on.
First up: reviewing my Lenten goals.
- Devote time each night to be technology free.
- Prep meals ahead of time.
- Listen to my body while working out.
- Limit after dinner splurges.
- Be a better listener.
- Let Go and Let God.
I had a lot of goals in place for Lent. Unfortunately, Lent happened when my life was especially crazy. I was gone for a fourth of it, I was house hunting pretty much nonstop, and had wedding things just in my life again. I’m not using those as excuses, but as a means to say that I had more challenges to deal with on top of my goals!
So where does this leave me? I did not achieve everything I put on this list, but I didn’t make it to be able to perfect it. These are still things that I work on everyday. Just because Lent is over doesn’t mean my goals will stop and I’ll go back to before Lent. I am excited to keep going for them and see where I end up!
March Fitness Goals:
I am pleased to say that I stuck to my goals more than I thought, and I really enjoyed them! Besides being in Oregon, and not being able to do HIIT workouts or lifting, I managed the rest of the time to stay on track!
Throughout this month, I did some of my own workouts, as well as other people’s workouts. I have a folder on my computer where I simply save a workout that I see come up from another blogger. I love trying new workouts, and having this folder allows me to quickly find one that suits my needs!
So where does this leave me for April? I finished Best Body Bootcamp in January and February, and loved it. However, I held off signing up for the next one for a while. After enjoying new workouts and including a lot more running in my workouts in March, I was hesitant that I wouldn’t be able to do that anymore, and couldn’t make up my mind. I did end up signing up for it, because Tina is amazing. She doesn’t make you do every workout she sends to you. You are allowed to swap out workouts and do other things you wish to do. So, I can continue my running like I want, and switch around workouts if some days work better for running outside. Tina challenges us with every workout, and I love the feeling when I finish. If workouts come up that I want to try out from other bloggers, though, I won’t be afraid to swap them out and switch a workout she has sent to us in favor of doing another one!
