Hi everyone, how are you? Happy Spring! I hope this weekend was a good one, and I’m hoping we saw the last of the snow on Friday for the season. Wouldn’t that be nice! This weekend was packed but those have been some of the best memory making ones lately.
Friday evening our little family headed to Chick Fil-A for dinner. Our little not picky at all kiddo has recently started turning up her nose at everything, so I was unsure how it would go. Thankfully, she ate her chicken nuggets, after some convincing that I was dipping it in Ketchup (some were barely and some weren’t, ha!) But then, she had the best time in the play area. At first she wouldn’t go up herself at all, but once we went up, and down the slide with her a few times (it’s all enclosed and pretty darn scary myself!), she started going up herself and climbing through the tunnels! It was both exciting and sad that she was already at this stage.
She went down pretty soon after we got home, and Aaron and I played some Spit, watched the Pens game, and then I continued reading Two by Two while enjoying a milkshake I brought back.
Saturday morning I was up and got in a good workout. My workouts last week were basically non-existent. I’m not sure if it was the cold I have, pregnancy, or the time change, but it just wasn’t happening. But, we all have those weeks and that’s okay. I tried not to feel too guilty about it. Benson actually woke me up at 6:30 Saturday morning, which was enough time to get in a half hour workout before miss A woke up. After family cuddles and breakfast, I hit up Target and then finally got my hair cut! It’s way shorter. I think I had 4-5 inches chopped off, but it’s great. I really needed dead ends cut and just more style to it.
I came home and we made Chocolate Chip Cookies and Cake Mix Cookies before A took a nap and we headed over to my nephew Noah’s birthday party! Annabelle loved playing with all the kids and thoroughly enjoyed the small bit of cake I let her have. I was hoping she’d be down and out and ready for another nap in the afternoon since her first one was early, but she sang songs to herself and chatted for a half hour before we said forget it. After getting her up, we headed over to our friends’, Brian and Lindsay’s, house for a birthday/St. Patrick’s Day party. Due to the super early and then non-existent afternoon nap, we weren’t able to stay too long. Aaron stayed through the night, but after a quick trip at Shop n Save, A and I had dinner and then she went to bed. I decorated the house for Easter and continued reading my book.
Sunday morning, A slept in, and we let Aaron sleep in from his late night. We were rushing to get ready for church but after I was ready (seriously how does this happen, ha), we realized A was just coughing too much and had too much of a boogery nose to take her so we stayed home and watched it. Then hit up the grocery store, nap time, played, and went to my parents for dinner while Aaron had a hockey game.
That’s it over here in our neck of the woods! I saw some weather forecasts for the 50s and 60s this week and I.am.pumped! Let’s hope the rain stays away.
Have a great day, my friends!
