After work on Friday, the kids and I put finishing touches on a banner we made, and then welcomed daddy home! He was gone for almost two weeks and we hadn’t been able to even talk to him for the last week. He arrived right before dinner time and the look on both kids’ faces was adorable. They were totally captivated by him and couldn’t get off of him. We spent the night cuddling on the couch, eating some popcorn, and watching a movie.
Saturday morning we relaxed in bed and then I headed to the treadmill for 4 miles while Nolan napped and Annabelle and Aaron played. My run felt great! I watched a Hallmark Christmas movie- so cheesy but so good.
The rest of the day we played around the house and then headed to church. Surprisingly, two of our great friends’ were there as well, so Annabelle had fun playing with their girls’ in the nursery. Nolan has been sick since last week, so he stayed with us for the service, but hoping next week he can go!
Sunday morning was an early one! No daylight savings time extra hour for us over here. Instead, it was the longesttt day. We started it watching the NYC Marathon! OMG Shalane. She is amazing and I was so excited to see her win.
We played with Play-Doh, built towers, did laundry, went for a walk, ate dinner, and I made a bunch of baby food. I never made it with Annabelle. For some reason I had in my head it was difficult. It was the easiest thing. I made prunes, green beans, raspberries (only because we had them and A didn’t like them like I thought), carrots, and apple-prune-butternut squash.
I ended the night watching Stranger Things 2. We are way too far into it considering Aaron just got home on Friday! ha It’s SO good and I’m hooked. Then bed early because I have no hopes my kids will sleep in.
Have a great week everyone! Here’s hoping we all get back to our schedules soon! Come back tomorrow for a workout with the slam ball!
