You guys, I’m sitting at my kitchen table, staring at yet more snow outside. I can’t take much more! I have been off school since Thursday. Yep, no school Thursday, or Friday. Then add in a weekend without many plans, and I’ve basically been super cooped up and ready to go CRAZY! Not to mention, I didn’t think we’d have Thursday off, so I didn’t even bring work home on Wednesday! ha #TeacherFail Oops! I keep thinking spring might be coming, but then I snap myself back to reality when I see the negative temps coming this week. One day spring will come, right?
Until then, let’s talk about my weekend. There are many things worse than having four days off, I know. It’s just that you don’t even want to go out when it’s this cold, and I can only sit on the couch for so long! You’d think I’d be super organized or something after this weekend, but in reality, I sat on the couch with a blanket on me for a lot of it, snuggling with Benson!
Due to both of us having off work from cold temps, I was able to meet up with my friend Emily at Panera for much needed catch up time!
After a quick trip to the mall just to walk around and get out of the house, we picked up Dominos and then headed out for the night with friends. We went to a new Brewery that opened up nearby, Spoonwood Brewery. I heard the beer is really good.
Saturday brought tons of snow. We had a storm warning with anywhere from 4-10 inches. Being it was Saturday, roads definitely don’t get cleared. It was a beautiful winter wonderland, except everyone is over the snow deal.
I did happen to get a 3 mile run in! My toe felt better, not 100%, but I was about to LOSE it being inside so I took it to the treadmill I took it easy and didn’t hurt it any worse. I really have no idea what is going on!
We headed to Aaron’s family’s in the afternoon once roads were a bit better to catch up. I was supposed to have game night for my mom’s side, but due to the freezing rain that was coming combined with a snow mix, we postponed it. I was sad, but better to be safe. We had nachos for dinner and then spent some time in front of the fire watching more Blacklist and playing 500.
Sunday was church, then Aaron had a hockey game and I buckled down to get blog work done. It was also a day to get the kitchen all cleaned (aka the fridge!) before starting a new week! I finished the night binge watching The BlackList (we finished season 1- omg the ending!) and watching the Oscars! Here’s hoping the weathermen are wrong and somehow we get 50 degree days all week. It’s not too much to dream, right?
