How has this weekend flown by so fast. I feel like it should still be Friday. Anyone else with me?
I last left off with Friday and recapped my Thanksgiving and Black Friday here, so make sure you check it out!
Friday night, I headed over to my parents where they were hosting my dad’s family for a little get together. We had cousins in from Oregon, Delaware, and Virginia for a baby shower on Saturday, and they were all able to make it! Only a few other family members could do it, but we had a great time. I loved the food much better than on Thursday ha. My mom had some appetizers, nothing fancy, but appetizers are my favorite!
We had a blast catching up with family, and finally seeing Bridget. Much better weather this time around.
Saturday morning I slept in. I have been fighting a cold for over a week, and it was just all catching up to me. Sleeping in of course was no later than 8, but I’ll take it. I took my time making breakfast and then getting ready for my cousin, Brynn’s, baby shower! The day was perfect. It was held at South Hills Country Club, and everything was perfect. Brynn was glowing, the presents were flowing, and the food was delicious. We can’t wait to meet her baby boy!
Brynn is in the black dress! Isn’t she gorgeous?!
We laid low on Saturday night. It was the first night since last Sunday where we didn’t have anything going on, so we soaked it up. We watched laughed out loud so many times while watching Home Alone 2. We watched #1 last week so we watched #2 Saturday night and it was hilarious. Benson slept on me for the entire movie, plus some. He loved having us home!
Sunday morning we found our way at Home Depot to buy our Christmas Tree!
Checking them all out!
We got one!
We found a pretty fantastic one, and we put lights on and ornaments as soon as we got home. I love sitting in our family room and just staring at the tree. Benson is also a huge fan, but we’re trying to teach him to look but not touch lol
How precious is he? I’m in love with him staring at the tree, haha.
And now, I’m off to help my mom complete their Christmas tree. It’s artificial but 10 ft tall, or more, so it’s a big job. My brother helped her yesterday but they were having some other issues so I said I’d be over today. I’m going to enjoy my last day of break before heading back to work tomorrow!
