Hey guys! I’ve missed you. Last week was crazy on the home front, and flew by before I had a chance to realize it was indeed Friday!
This weekend was a great one, though. We went away and it was truly wonderful!
Saturday morning we were up at the usual time and around 8:15, we headed out! We packed up the car and were headed to my friend Bri’s House. We became great friends in college (along with Lyndz, who is in the middle in the above picture), and she welcomed her baby girl, Kloe, in January. We arrived around 11 and just hung out. The weather was rainy the entire weekend, even snowed on Sunday! but we still had a blast. The girls were on opposite nap schedules for the most part, but when they were both awake, they loved watching each other. Annabelle tried to play, aka grab Kloe, but she’s a bit too young.
Bri and her husband, Lance, had a big cookout with their friends. They truly went out of their way to make us feel welcomed, and put out quite the spread! There were chicken kabobs, hamburgers, hash brown casserole, pasta salad, and plenty of dessert! I definitely overstuffed myself. Worth it!
We relaxed Sunday morning, and Lance made us omelets, toast, and hash browns. We left after Annabelle’s morning nap and arrived home early afternoon. We spent the rest of the afternoon loving up on Benson and watching Annabelle get thisclose to crawling. Truthfully I’m fine with her taking her grand ‘ol time on that! I know she’s going to be crazy once she starts, but it’s sad to see her so frustrated for not being able to do it!
It was a short visit, but perfect to catch up with friends and feel completely welcomed!
