Hi friends! I hope you are having a great start to your week.
We had a pretty eventful weekend! In between the 90 degrees and 100% humidity, we had a fairly packed schedule, most of which was outside.
Annabelle and I were on our own as Aaron was in Boston with his brother. I asked my parents if they wanted to go to dinner, where I enjoyed the delicious salad at the salad bar and Miss A ate her weight in cottage cheese. We then were off to a concert in the park! Jana Kramer came, so we headed down. First we met up with my aunt, Bridget, and her friends. Then I headed down to see my friend Jenna. Annabelle was having such a fun girl’s night! I didn’t end up seeing any of the concert, but it was fun to hang out with friends and take her. She partied it up until close to 9!
Friday night I was surprised with Aaron coming home! Though I was completely out of it in a sleepy state, he arrived home close to midnight on Friday. He drove 11 hours in an effort to surprise us and be home for the weekend! Annabelle and I sure loved it and had some extra cuddles in bed Saturday morning. We made cookies in the morning, she took a great nap, we played, and then headed to the Beer Olympics. I’ve mentioned it before, but this is such a fun time! Aaron and I didn’t participate, but we had lots of fun watching! We were there until around 7:15 when A let us know she was ready to get out of the heat. Can’t blame her.
Each participant is assigned a country, and then you bring food according to that country. A lot of the Germany country brought pretzels. Therefore, I ate a lot of pretzels. #Notmadaboutit. They even had a swimming pool set up for the little ones, so we stripped A down so she could cool off!
After church and a nap, Annabelle and I went to check out our friend Amy’s new house! Aaron was helping to move so we went to check it out. It’s going to be beautiful when everything is put away! The kitchen is my favorite so far. I also went through my closet, again to find more that I’m not wearing and needs to find a different home. We made it home for A’s nap while Aaron and I relaxed on the couch and started Stranger Things on Netflix. It was all play until bedtime and Olympics for all of us.
And just like that, another weekend came to an end. I’d be happy if we could have temps in the 70s instead of the 90s for the rest of the summer, but I’m trying hard not to complain!
