Good morning. I hope everyone had a great weekend, without too many crazy last minute gifts to buy!
We had one main thing on our agenda for the weekend: Get Annabelle to see Santa. We had planned last Monday before she got shots, but Santa was taking a break when we wanted to go. Aaron took off on Friday, and we decided we’d head up. Her typical schedule has her getting up around 1 and Santa had his break then, so I figured 1:30 would be a great time! Bridget came to see her, along with my mom and Aaron’s mom. Well wouldn’t you know, Aaron’s mom went at 1 and said he had a break until 2! That was right during her next nap time… oops!
We still decided to do it and go at that time. Thankfully, our moms stood in line and were the 2nd ones so we didn’t have a long wait once we got there!
Annabelle was awake, but since it was nap time, she wasn’t her complete jolly ‘ol self. Thankfully, Santa didn’t mind and he was so nice to her! He must have taken 5 minutes with her.
Look at those cheeks and double chin! Ha
After we chose the picture to get printed (yep, I got sucked in!), I went to pick her up and he said “Did you get that?” I said yep, and he said he wasn’t done. He took her and put her in his coat! It was the cutest thing. Her face was also pretty priceless.
The Santa was definitely a good one and he took the time with the children. I can’t wait to look back at these pictures in the coming years, especially when she starts having stranger danger and cries when he holds her, haha!
The rest of the weekend was also fantastic. Friday night we spent celebrating Matt’s birthday. We ordered Chinese and hung out at his apartment.
I headed out on Saturday for my annual girl’s day from my aunt. She takes my two cousins and I to a spa nearby where we are pampered with a pedicure and manicure, facial, and massage. It was all very welcomed to this new momma! I thoroughly enjoyed the day! We followed the spa up with a lunch at Bravo and some shopping to Target. Annabelle had a daddy day, and daddy definitely loved having her all to himself
Sunday we made it to church, and the children’s choir sang a song. It was so beautiful; I loved it! Hopefully Annabelle has Aaron’s singing ability and not mine! We also headed over to the in-laws because Aric came home! He had been studying abroad in Germany for the semester and had yet to meet Annabelle. We missed him!
Love my little hugs from her!
I even managed to get a T25 Speed 1.0 workout in. Wow I was sweating like crazy and it was only 25 minutes!
Just like that, the weekend was over! I’m off to finish up some food shopping for Christmas morning brunch and make sure everything is ready to go! Have a wonderful day!
