HERE’S WHAT ELSE BABY BROWN HAS BEEN UP TO THIS WEEK:
- She’s the size of a head of Cauliflower
- Baby Girl weighs almost 2 pounds and is about 14-1/2 inches long with his legs extended.
- She’s sleeping and waking at regular intervals…I can definitely tell she’s most active at night and in the early morning!
- She’s opening and closing her eyes, and perhaps even sucking her fingers (aww!).
- With more brain tissue developing, her brain is very active now.
I’m in the 3rd Trimester! Woo! Totally crazy how fast this is going by!
AND HERE’S WHAT’S BEEN HAPPENING WITH ME THIS PAST WEEK:
Workouts: Not too shabby! I’ve gotten in quite a few elliptical and walking workouts, along with 3 strength workouts. They are most definitely not done at the same intensity as before, but they are still done!
Symptoms: There’s not a lot that’s new. My lower back hurts by the end of the night, I have really bad acid reflux at times, Charlie Horses are getting worse throughout the night. Honestly I’m not miserable and I’m chalking all of these up to pregnancy and feeling pretty good. The exhaustion is the worst, though. I’m definitely feeling more tired these days, and pee all.the.time. It’s not even that I have to go, but she makes me feel like I do! I get very out of breath walking up steps and such, and bending over has become a challenge! A spoon fell under the kitchen table and I had to wait for Aaron to come home and get it, haha!
Movement: She loves to move and flip, roll, karate kick. She moves the most at night when I’m laying down on my side ready for bed, and in the morning when I typically get up to go to the bathroom but lay back down.
Gender: It’s a Girl!
Food Aversions: Spearmint gum, burgers. I can’t think of a hamburger right now, ha.
Food Cravings: Fruit, lunch meat sandwiches, cereal always.
Sleep: It hasn’t been terrible but my back does hurt. I’m not sure if I should take the snoogle with me on vacation or what. Sleep has definitely been better than weeks prior!
Maternity clothes?: Yep. Tank tops are just size mediums instead of smalls, and I put away all my fitness clothes that don’t fit. I also went through my closet and got rid of all the clothes that don’t fit me. Well, not got rid of, they are just in my attic! It was too disheartening to be looking in my closet and not know what fits me and when I take something out to wear and it doesn’t fit.
Stretch marks? Nope.
Miss Anything? High intensity workouts, being able to get out for a run.
Fun & Weird Stuff From the Week: She’s been laying in certain spots where you can feel her from the outside. I’m not exactly sure what body parts they are, but it’s fun to see. We did feel her foot under my belly button on Saturday at my aunt’s party, and when my cousin’s girlfriend put her hand on it, she kicked her pretty hard! Ha
Belly Button in or out? In!
Wedding rings on/off? On for now.
Happy or moody most of the time: Happy. I am definitely eager to meet our little one, and sometimes get anxiety over it, but I’ve been really excited.
Baby Items Purchased: None this week! I’m trying to hold off until after our shower.
Looking Forward To: Vacation next week! I can’t wait to have a week of relaxation with my family. It’s going to be so nice to not focus on workouts, and just take the week for what I can!
Our Baby Girl’s Name:
After explaining to you all last week how hard deciding on a name can be, Aaron and I came up with one. I am excited to share that Baby Girl will be…
Our little girl will be Annabelle Grace Brown. I loved the name Annabelle, but I love the options that come with it. I think of it more as a little girl’s name, but as she grows, she can be Anna or even Belle. I’ve already referred to her as Anna, as I love that name, too. Grace just flowed with it and I love the way it sounded. Neither Annabelle or Grace come from family, but we’re excited to add her to our family!
