Somehow we only have 7 weeks to go! I had my 33 week appointment on Monday and everything looks good. I’ve gained 3 pounds since my appt. 3 weeks ago which they said was great. Everything was looking good, though the Dr. I saw was new to the area and couldn’t answer a lot of my questions with certainty, which frustrated me a bit, but she was still nice. I’ve met with all the doctors in the practice and feel confident with any of them delivering Miss Annabelle! I have one more appointment in 2 weeks and then we are in the weekly appointments!
HERE’S WHAT ELSE BABY BROWN HAS BEEN UP TO THIS WEEK:
- She’s the size of a pineapple, or honeydew melon
- She could grow up to another inch this week
- The amniotic fluid has maxed out and her pokes and kicks are pretty sharp these days
Sorry for the bathroom selfie. My photographer (aka Aaron) wasn’t home to snap a picture of me! I’ll try to get a new one up ASAP!
AND HERE’S WHAT’S BEEN HAPPENING WITH ME THIS PAST WEEK:
Workouts: Three 21 day fix workouts (message me for more info!), two bodysculpting classes I taught, and 30 minutes on the elliptical
Symptoms: Pretty similar to last week, except sleep has gotten worse. The past few nights I’ve been up to go to the bathroom and then have the hardest time getting back to sleep. I have varicose veins (maybe they’ll go away after??) and they look like a bruise and feel like it, too! Heartburn has been intense, keeping me up at night, coming at the worst times, appearing out of no where. Exhaustion is there for sure. By 9 o’clock, I’m more than ready for bed. Things are getting difficult to do with this big belly, too!
Movement: Tons. I love looking at my belly and watching it move.
Gender: She’s a girl <3
Food Aversions: Honestly, a lot of food just doesn’t sound good. I have been struggling on the food situation for sure. Even things that sound good just don’t taste good. I do have to say, veggies are almost my worst. I’ve been trying to put spinach in my Shakeology to drink and I eat carrots for lunch every day, so that’s good, but dinner veggies can be a struggle. I try to eat them but I don’t always get through them.
Food Cravings: Cold, refreshing drinks. Whether it is the Sparkling ICE drinks, ice cold water with ice, the Firecracker popsicles, etc, I’m happy with them all!
Sleep: Not so good. My back is hurting more and more as I struggle to get comfortable. Half the time in the morning I get up only because my back is in pain even though I’m still tired.
Maternity clothes?: Oh yes. PJs, workout attire, and t-shirts are not, and yoga pants, but everything else is.
Stretch marks? Nope, but I’ve heard quite a few stories about them developing over night pretty late in pregnancy, so I’m spreading tummy butter on every night!
Miss Anything? Sleeping on my back, loose clothes, not being out of breath, squatting without a belly in the way, no pelvic pressure, ha.
Fun & Weird Stuff From the Week: We put up the gallery wall and fixed another wall up. My dad made a sign that says Annabelle out of wood so that’s getting painted and I’m hoping to make a tissue paper tassel to go under it. My sister in law is working on art work for behind her crib. The nursery is surely coming together and I couldn’t be happier about it!
Not baby related, but we also got a new TV. Aaron has grand plans for making more room in our family room and mounting a TV on the wall apparently has a lot to do with it. Since we cut cable, having a Smart TV will be really nice since all the programs are already loaded on.
Belly Button in or out? Weird and overlapping.
Wedding rings on/off? On! We’ve had some cooler days and nights and I’m not hating it! Though when the windows are open, my fingers and feet swell a bit more.
Happy or moody most of the time: Happy. I can’t wait to meet her!
Baby Items Purchased: Though we received tons from our shower, there were still plenty of things we had to buy (thank goodness for gift cards!). Basically, it was all the little things that no one wants to buy you for a shower, and breastfeeding accessories, also. I finished up buying everything this week with the 15% coupon from Target and 10% from Babies R Us for finishing your registry. Most of the things are all washed and ready to be worn and used, too!
My aunt stopped yesterday with her gift, which included all of this in the laundry basket!
Looking Forward To: Taking the hospital tour, taking some baby classes, our maternity pictures are tonight!
Nerves setting in:
It is starting to hit me more and more that she’s arriving shortly and I am trying to soak in all this time I have now. We’re finishing up the nursery and everything we need for her will be in next week (things I ordered). The other night I just started thinking about labor and how time is going to fly the next few weeks and it all hit me, ha. There may have been some tears- I think happy but I’m not too sure why I even had tears! lol I am more than ready for her to come out and meet her, but it’s a scary time! We have numerous friends who are pregnant, just have babies, are waiting to be induced, etc. and the whole waiting game is just not fun! I would like to know when she is going to appear Our good friends just had their baby yesterday, and after hearing what she went through, it makes me slightly more nervous! I know everything will work out, and she will come when it’s her time, but I’m definitely trying to take in this time with Aaron and make some more date nights happen! I’m hoping for one this weekend. We shall see!
