Let us never forget the actions of 14 years ago. I still remember where I was when I heard, and will never forget. Always hug your loved ones close- you never know what can happen.
I had my 35 week appointment on Wednesday and they will be every week from here on out! The doctor said I was measuring right on, gained a good amount of weight, baby’s heart rate was in the 120s which was good. She’s never had a very high heart rate, but I did ask if it was getting too low since it seems every appointment it goes down. It used to be in the 150s, then 140s, then 130s, and now 120s. If it falls below that, then there is a problem that will be checked out. She is also head down, which is a great sign!
HERE’S WHAT ELSE BABY BROWN HAS BEEN UP TO THIS WEEK:
- About the size of a honeydew melon
- Weighs about 5 1/4 lb and is anywhere from 17-20 inches long
- Her brain is 2/3 of the way developed at this point
- Her kidneys are fully functioning and the liver can process some waste
AND HERE’S WHAT’S BEEN HAPPENING WITH ME THIS PAST WEEK:
Workouts: A 21 day fix workout, a few days walking, Monday I did 30 minutes on the elliptical and a 20 minute walk- by far my longest cardio workout in a long time! I’ve been teaching still, though next week is my last. It takes everything out of me these days. I feel great doing it, but waking up super early and how I feel after, it’s just not worth it.
Symptoms: Same ‘ol symptoms as all the other weeks- exhaustion, lethargy, lack of appetite, pelvic pain, insomnia. I had a few Braxton Hicks contractions this week, along with round ligament pain that hadn’t showed up for many weeks. My feet and calves cramp up much easier. I’m also to the point where I just hate things touching me? I seem to let the belly hang out a lot instead of wearing shirts when I’m home. I still have the shirt up, but roll it up, ha. I look like an odd ball!
Movement: Tons of it. She rolls and rolls all over! Her feet are jabbing me in the ribs almost always, but knowing she’s moving in there makes me so happy.
Food Aversions: Um, everything? I just really don’t want food these days. I eat because I have to, but it takes me a very long time to decide what I actually am going to eat.
Food Cravings: Buffalo Chicken Strips. We were coming back from Conneaut on Saturday and all I wanted were buffalo chicken strips. I couldn’t think of any place to even stop and order some, but remembered Aldi was off the exit coming home and they sold them in the bag. I thought about this chicken for over an hour, haha. I’m pathetic. Well, we got off the exit and were driving down the road, looked ahead, and nothing had power! Therefore, Aldi was closed and I had to go on without them, lol. I did get some on Wednesday
Sleep: Could be better. I am always tired, but this week I’ve had the hardest time getting back to sleep after getting up to pee 4-5 times a night. It takes just about everything out of me to roll side to side and try to get comfortable, not to mention getting up multiple times to use the bathroom. I lay in bed for 30-45 minutes just trying to get back to sleep.
Maternity clothes?: Yep, and I’m tired of them, and they are getting tighter, and I’m over it all, haha! I can’t wait to wear loose clothes again.
Stretch marks? Nope and hoping it stays that way I do have spider veins and varicose veins though. It should be a question on these surveys since it happens to many, but I’ve had them for weeks. It looks like my top right of my thigh is bruised because of the varicose veins, and they hurt to touch! I hope they go away after I have her, but who knows.
Miss Anything? Laying on my back, having core strength, a good sweaty workout, walking without pelvic pain

Fun & Weird Stuff From the Week: We met two new babies this week! I also almost finished up getting the hospital bag things at the store. I’m just in need of nursing bras and I can’t find any!
Belly Button in or out? Still flat
Wedding rings on/off? On!
Happy or moody most of the time: Happy. This week has been better emotionally than weeks before. I definitely get anxious every now and again over knowing she’s coming soon, but it’s been a good week!
Baby Items Purchased: My mom and I went to Carter’s Outlet yesterday so she bought her more clothes. I bought a bin that says Baby Things to keep in our living room. I already filled it and it’s adorable, haha. We also put up the bookshelves! I love how they turned out. I swear the nursery tour is coming. My dad made her name in block letters so I’m waiting on that to get hung before I take pictures.
Full of toys, books, burp cloths, blankets. Ignore the hair ties on the floor. Those are Benson’s toys
Looking Forward To: Next week we have our Labor and Delivery class, breastfeeding class, and a hospital tour. The hospital tour was supposed to be Wednesday night, but after Aaron got sick, we decided not to go and this happened to be coming up also.
