Hi everyone! Hope your weekend is going well and you’re enjoying the last few hours. I wanted to pop in and share Baby Brown Updates for weeks 11 and 12. I am trying my best to get to one day a week posting on pregnancy topics, but playing catch up is a bit harder than I thought!
Week 11: Baby is now about two inches long, growing fingernails! He/she is also the size of a fig!
Week 12: Baby is now weighs about a half ounce. Most of his/her systems are in place. He/she is also the size of a plum!
No idea. I don’t think I’m going to really ever weigh myself. I may just remove this question. Weights a very tricky thing. I know people who are well over 20 weeks and have gained 5 pounds, but I do know I’ve already gained that. It’s so different for everyone, so I don’t think it’s really far to judge on. If there’s a problem, my doctor will let me know.
Week 11: I still taught two nights, started my half marathon training, and then laid low besides that! Ha I try for a third strength training day, but honestly, the extra rest has been nice. I’ve been good at stopping if I don’t feel good, or not working out (besides teaching) if I don’t feel well, but it’s still hard. I’ve had to drop weights when teaching, and can tell I’m out of breath way easier.
Week 12: Same. Training for the half, teaching two nights, and resting whenever possible.
Week 11: Still peeing a lot, lots of stomach cramping, and struggling between either bloating or having a real bump! Haha . Having a hard time telling if it’s Colitis acting up or if it’s pregnancy. Still not sleeping well, and feeling sick from about 2ish in the afternoon through the night. Mornings are my best times.
Week 12: I started feeling much better at the beginning of this week. I still was sick at night, though. I haven’t needed as much food to feel ok. Overall felt happier, until Thursday when I started getting sick again. A few good days were worth it, though! I have had round ligament pain, mostly when I turn over in bed. It’s gotten bad a few times but the doctor said it’s nothing to be concerned with.
Week 11: Most food doesn’t sound good. Oatmeal was off limits for a few weeks but that started sounding good again.
Week 12: None.
Week 11: Let’s see, we had Subway, Chinese, and Eat n Park this week, haha! Between not wanting to cook, and craving all of those, I made them work, lol. However, I did tell Aaron after we had Chinese that we were done eating out and were now making food.
Week 12: I cooked a few dinners this week, and had broccoli, carrots, and celery again. Veggies were off limits for a while. I wouldn’t say I was craving veggies, but they didn’t sound bad to me. Potatoes of all varieties taste delicious to me, too. I had my mom make her cheesy potatoes for me one day when I was really craving them, and we have lots of potatoes with dinners.
Week 11: It’s a bit better but still waking up a lot to pee.
Week 12: I nap whenever I can on the weekends, and after school if possible. Sleep is alright. I have a lot of restlessness and overall tired. Definitely a lack of desire to do anything!
Looking Forward To…
Week 11: Hearing the heartbeat in a few weeks! I want that confirmation that everything is ok. We don’t get an ultrasound until 18-20 weeks to find out the gender. I would be lying if I said it doesn’t make me upset seeing everyone with their ultrasound pictures in the early weeks and I can’t get one
Week 12: Hearing the heartbeat next week!
Week 11: Since I haven’t been nauseous, I’m thinking girl. However, I had no idea.
Week 12: Back to not really knowing. Not having strong suspicions one way or another.
Any Baby/Pregnancy-Related Purchases?
Week 11: Another sports bra, haha.
Week 12: Nope!
Any Fun Stories?
Week 11: This isn’t a fun story, but I will share. This was the week we packed Matt up to move and we had dinner at my parents house on Thursday. I didn’t feel well that afternoon, like usual, but food typically helps me feel better. I ate dinner, still felt a bit crappy. I ate a pop tart, and didn’t feel worse. Well, I kept having these strong stomach pains and they weren’t getting better. Aaron and I drove separately and when he came home, I was crying and thought we needed to go to the Er. I was nervous I was either having a miscarriage or something else was going on. The pains were terrible. I ended up calling the On call doctor, and then tried to wait it out until he called me back. I decided if I felt worse we would just go, but I didn’t get worse. He finally called back around 11, and wasn’t too concerned. He told me to take some Tylenol and try to get some sleep and if it was still bad the next day, I would go in. Thankfully, I started feeling better in the morning and within a few days, I was fine.
Week 12: Nothing crazy! Ended up doing a bunch of organizing on Saturday. Not sure what it was but I just felt that I needed to organize. I loved purging so many things!
Whew, alrighty! I’m off to finish watching 10 Things I hate About You! Have a bit of catching up to do tonight with some food things and then hoping to watch the ACM awards!
