Welcome second trimester! I’m not really sure when the start was. I’ve read numerous books that have stated 13 and 14. Well just roll with the fact I’m officially out of the first trimester.
It’s still funny to me when people think I’m 8 or 9 weeks and the shocked look on their face when I say I’m 14. Surprise! I guess it’s because we hid it from everyone for so long that they expect us to be only a few weeks pregnant! 🙂
Week 14: They’ve been good. I taught 3 classes this past week (Tues, Wed, Fri.) and felt good. Tuesday night was still rough but that was my last one. I felt 100x better teaching in the morning! I’m so excited about my new schedule. I did manage one run but then hurt my hamstring so there’s that.
Week 15: Taught three classes and ran 3 days. One day was shorter to see if my hamstring hurt, which it did so I backed off, then did 5 on Thursday and 12 on Saturday. I was shocked with the 12 miles! Only one more week of running and only one more week of teaching 3 classes!
Week 14: Still tea. Not really much else. Still not huge on tortilla chips unless they are placed in front of me with some kind of dip, then I’ll enjoy them.
Week 15: I tried tea again and it wasn’t so bad, actually! It’s not my favorite and I still prefer hot water at this point, but it was something different and I enjoyed one cup. I also had given up egg sandwiches for quite a few weeks, but they reentered my life this week, and I love them!
Week 14: I have still been loving meat, and potatoes. Can’t get enough French fries, cheesy potatoes, and roasted potatoes. Mmm I actually stocked up on veggies too. It’s been way too long since we’ve been eating veggies. Smoothies came back into my life too. For a few weeks I just didn’t want them. This week I really wanted some cookie dough! Like, badly. I still haven’t tried making it without eggs, but it may come to that 😉
Week 15: Cold, refreshing drinks, like the Sparkling Ice waters. I finally got to make chocolate chip cookies and they were delicious. Potato salad which my mother in law kindly made and delivered to our house, lol. Not much else.
Week 14: I broke down and bought a Snoogie after hearing Danica and Julie profess their love, haha. My sleep was so bad and I was desperate. It has been a huge help! I love cuddling up to it every night. But! It is a barrier between Aaron and me, which kind of stinks when I want to cuddle up to him, ha.
Week 15: It’s been going alright. I was up a few times throughout the nights but nothing major. I have been totally exhausted though through the days.
Week 14: I believe I was up 4 pounds total at my doctors.
Week 15: I don’t own a scale so who knows!
Looking forward to
Week 14: Our ultrasound! We find out boy or girl May 14! Actually we’re having a gender reveal party May 16 so we’re waiting until then! My next appointment is May 15 as well. I’m just excited to find out boy/girl so I can really start planning!
Week 15: Same as above 🙂 I can’t wait to find out! I’ve been planning our gender reveal like crazy. The invites went out yesterday. I definitely invited wayyy too many people, but they are all the ones who mean the most to us! I mean, 95% is family, so there’s that!
Week 14: Energy is coming back! I’ve felt more like myself this week. I have been having more round ligament pain but I’ve had it for weeks. It usually hurts when I turn over in bed like I’m stretching it too much. I haven’t felt any movement yet. But I’m not expecting any. My belly is getting bigger. Aaron and I joke that my belly grows overnight. It’s crazy how one day it’s small and the next larger. However, it also looks different from morning to night! ha
Week 15: Larger stomach, lots of pain and pressure, round ligament pain. Ever since my 12 mile run, I’ve felt a constant need to go to the bathroom, like it put a lot of pressure on my bladder? I’m sure it did, but I’m not sure how long this will last. I actually quit running Tuesday because I had so much pressure and it was uncomfortable. I’m ready for some short runs, or no runs. We’ll see where this takes me after the half. I have noticed more acne on my shoulders and back? My face is still terrible, but it was terrible before I got pregnant, too. I’ve also noticed that I’ve been getting more stomach aches lately. I’m not sure if it’s food that’s not agreeing with me or what. I do need to figure it out because it’s not pleasant!
Baby things purchased-
Week 14: maxi skirts that I can continue to wear 🙂 I love them!
Week 15: Nothing. I am hoping to go to the outlets and get Maternity clothes tonight after work. I’ve also been checking out strollers like it’s my job, ha, and trying to find the one I want. I have also been searching Craigslist for things. I’m not above 2nd hand at all when it comes to babies! As long as it’s a smoke free home, of course, and in great condition. Babies use things for such a short amount of time, it can be silly to spend full price on everything if you can find it cheaper.
Favorite moment of the week
Week 14: hearing the heart beat again and being reassured and also dinner at Saga! Delicious!
Week 15: Getting in my 12 mile run and proving to myself that I am capable of running the half 🙂
Alright we are all caught up on my end!
