Oops! Sorry for the later post. I scheduled it for pm instead 😉
It’s no secret that I have missed teaching at the gym, but what I didn’t tell you was that last night, I was back at it!
Things lined up and I was thrilled to be invited back to my old gym to teach. I was feeling the itch for quite some time, and while I love my 30 minute workouts and think that is great, I was craving that mental hour escape from reality, too. I jumped right back into it feeling like no time was lost. We did tons of squats, lots of lunges, push ups and tricep extensions, and we were all toast by the end! I loved having members from before I left, too.
The best part was the hour of time I had to be working out with people who love it and not worry about a baby monitor or baby waking up! I was able to chat with the members, make a fool out of myself at times, and they understood when the mic decided to not work and music kept stopping (some things just never change, apparently!). It also gave Aaron a chance to have some one- on – one time with A which I think is great!
I am hoping to get A used to the nursery and start teaching more classes on the days I’m off. Going back to teaching group fitness was definitely a great decision and one I’m happy I pursued, but sad I pushed off for so long!
What’s something you have been pushing off?
What style of teaching do you like the best?
Circuits where you repeat moves, focusing on specific body parts at one time (BodyPUMP style almost), abs at the end or throughout? I’d love to hear!
Linking up with Amanda for thinking out loud!
