This before work cardio and strength workout is the perfect start to your day. All you need is 30 minutes to get it in before you tackle the rest of your day.
Little girl slept through the night Sunday, leaving me feeling totally refreshed yesterday morning (I didn’t wake up until Aaron’s alarm went off!). I took advantage and got in an early morning workout. You guys. I miss those! I had showered, gotten ready, and had breakfast by the time Annabelle woke up. I felt like super woman! But really, all this to say I truly miss my early morning sweat time. It sets the tone for the entire day (for me at least). I’m sure the whole sleeping through the night thing won’t last another night, so I need to just get myself up earlier and get moving before she gets up!
With that in mind, I created a new workout for you! It is short (less than 30 minutes) but perfect for those early morning before work sweat sessions!
Before Work Cardio and Strength Workout:
This workout is a perfect before work cardio and strength workout. It pairs a cardio move with a strength move. You will complete each for 1 minute, and repeat the circuit one more time. Make sure you warm up and cool down! It will take you right around 30 minutes with a few minute warm up (some examples: jog in place, jump jacks, squats, side bends, etc) and a cool down (stretch those muscles!).
Use a weight whenever possible (if you feel comfortable!). I suggest it for all the strength moves, and if you want to hold a weight with the shuffles and power squats, do it! Aim for proper form and keep working. If you need to take a small rest, that’s ok, but don’t quit! Just take a breather and get back to it.
I’m off for another day with my favorite girl before taking a CPR class tonight! Time to get that group fitness certification renewed and a update on CPR never hurt!
