This weekend marked pretty much the first weekend of the summer. With only a half day today and tomorrow of work, I’m not too worried about counting these days as work. Though this weekend was packed, it was a lot of fun.
Last day of school
The weekend started off on Friday, but not before it was my kids last day of school. I was lucky to have been with them for so long, and I will miss every one of them. Yes, it was so much work, but to see all they’ve come to do is amazing and so worth it.
Saturday was my sister-in-law, Rachael’s, 21st birthday! We went out at midnight Friday night to celebrate with her and had such a blast with the family. Only one more who isn’t 21, little baby of the family, ha.
My cousin is due in August (she was one of my bridesmaids!) and is actually due just 2 weeks before her best friend since she was little! They are both having little girls and I can’t wait to have a little one in our family. A few months ago, we were talking and they both wanted me to take their maternity pictures. Of course I am no photographer, but I did the best I could. I will share more once I finish editing them!
We split the time up on Sunday between both of our families. After I was done shooting the pictures, we headed over to my parents for lunch and to go out on the boat. We just relaxed and had a fantastic day out in the sun. The water is warming up a bit, too, which is always a plus! After boating, we headed over to Aaron’s parents for dinner and some time to hang out. It was a packed day, but filled with those we love!
Yes, I know, more about the deck, ha. I promise to be done talking about it soon but I just can’t help it right now. We worked on it all day Saturday, after Aaron worked on it all day Friday. He has really been working so hard on making sure this is exactly what we wanted and done right. We could have had a cheap deck put together a lot sooner, but it would not have lasted us and it would not have been done the right way. Aaron works long hours, but comes home and puts in countless more hours outside working on it. His days off are spent out there working on it. I know it is going to be amazing once it’s done!
Thanks Katie for always hosting!
