In case you missed it, check out my post from this morning! These were super easy to make, and Aaron really enjoys them. Breakfast can be hard when on a time crunch, so these are quick!
So yesterday turned out to be terrific weather. What is really funny is that on Saturday before Kristy and Bill left, we checked out the forecast. Everyday called for at least some rain, and in the 50s. So far, we’ve been in the 60s with sun everyday! Beautiful weather means we get to spend time outside! I was craving outside time, and I knew the kids would be game when they came home!
We had a blast. Emma had a lot of homework, so for a while it was just Peter and Charlotte, but soon Emma joined us!
Here’s hoping that we can replicate this fun time this afternoon! Today is actually the last day of the week that Emma and Peter have school! That means I get to hang out with them tomorrow and Friday! Cannot wait! I think we have a book fair to attend, Target trip, outside time, anddddd ice cream! I swear I haven’t fed them unhealthy options, Kristy! I even refrained from cake yesterday, EVEN after Charlotte pleaded at me with her eyes, and again this morning when she woke up.
Charlotte really is cute, but I figured we should take a break with the cake for a day, and eat some more yogurt and fruit. However, she tries to get me to give in on every possible thing. Her favorite thing to say is “Well mommy lets me.” I then proceed to ask Peter or Emma, and immediately Charlotte changes her answer to, “Well, sometimes she lets me. No, Peter, she has let me before!” I take that one as a nope, doesn’t happen so it won’t happen from me
I asked the kids where they want to go to lunch tomorrow. Figured we will pick Char up from school and head out. Charlotte immediately says “Target.” Obviously I had to ask why, and she states that she was a “hot dog and slurpee” from Target only. I’ll never turn down a Target run
Being from Pennsylvania, I am not used to seeing alcohol in any stores. When ads arrived in the mail yesterday, I had to look through them because I am quite the couponer. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary, and I almost missed it, but then saw this:
Pennsylvania is not allowed to have alcohol sold in any stores unless they have a café. Giant Eagles with eat in cafes have them, and a few other places, but never gas stations or drug stores! I immediately texted Aaron because it was just so funny to me. The entire ad looked just like the ones we get at home, minus this little section. Funny tidbit for the day!
The big kids went across the street to hang out until the bus came today so I could get Char to school and not worry about rushing back to get the bus! This left me with some time to drive around and see the area before Columbia opened! I totally forgot to look at Aaron’s section yesterday, so I made sure to hit it up again today! I found a few things for him at excellent deals.
Shortly after, I knew I needed to get a run in. It was my last day to run outside because the kids will be home tomorrow and Friday, so I wanted to make it count. Unfortunately, my foot started hurting again, not quite as bad as Monday, but worse than yesterday. I only managed to get a 3 mile run in, but it still felt great! I even ran over the bridge
At least it was a pretty, and different, view! I’m hoping to maybe do an Insanity DVD when Charlotte goes down for a nap this afternoon. We shall see.
- Are you a coupon-er like I am? Are the ads the best part of your Sunday paper?
