I feel like May is going to be over before I know it, and I want to make sure I take the time to appreciate everything it has going on! This past weekend reminded me of how blessed I am, and how many things I take for granted. I’m sure everyone can relate to me that we take things for granted. In our world, we expect food on the table for dinner, we expect to have a gym membership (though I don’t!), we expect to have a computer to blog on. These expectations are fine for us, but there are always other people who don’t have it quite as nice as we do. Remember those whodon’t expect things the next time something small comes up!
Moving on.. let’s talk about things I take for granted and why I’m thankful.
I take for granted that I can ride the T wherever I want.
I’m thankful that I live in a city with a lightrail system so I don’t have to drive downtown and find parking all the time.
It was an easy way to get down to the marathon with my momma!
I take for granted having computers wherever I need them.
I’m thankful my dad had an extra when my laptop died last week.
I take for granted that my files on my computer will never go away.
I’m not so thankful that they don’t, and I lost a really good draft on my dead computer
I take for granted that I can go down to the marathon and cheer people on.
I’m thankful that I had a mom who was just as excited as I was to do it.
I take for granted that my wedding things will all get done.
I’m thankful to have people who want to help me get things done.
I take for granted having 2 wedding showers.
I’m thankful I have so many loving family and friends to celebrate this time with!
I take for granted having technological genius’s in my house to solve every dumb thing I do to computers
I’m thankful Aaron also knows technology and can continue to fix my problems!
I take for granted taking a honeymoon.
I’m thankful Aaron has a great job to allow us to afford this.
hello Royal Caribbean cruise!
I take for granted people’s lives.
I’m thankful I get to celebrate my Aunt’s life on Sunday by walking in the Race for the Cure with my family. She was diagnosed with Breast Cancer many years ago, but thankfully she is in remission. We still go to support her every Mother’s Day!
I take for granted everything my mom can do for me.
I’m thankful she has been a stay at home mom my entire life (well, she has a part time job!) to always be there when we need her, or to run errands that my brother and I forgot or don’t have time to do.
What are you thankful for today?
what do you take for granted?
