I hope you have a great start to the workweek today. We don’t have much planned- my MIL is coming over this morning and I’m really hoping for some good naps. Mr. Nolan has been giving me a run for my money (just when you think things are going back to normal….) and I am tired. But, it’s all alright and we’ll have a great week.
This weekend was a pretty full one. We didn’t think it would be, but we had a lot of fun. Friday afternoon, we baked apple cider cupcakes, and Friday night, my father in law came over for dinner and he stayed to play games with Aaron. He also decorated cupcakes with Annabelle. Next time I’ll cook something better than the take n bake pizza I had We were originally supposed to go there for dinner, and I hadn’t been grocery shopping all week. Whoops! It was still delicious.
Saturday morning I headed off to a rummage sale with my mom and a craft show. At the rummage sale, I found boots for Annabelle that would match me for $2! Just as I suspected, she loved them, and we realized my mom had the same color boots too. A just thought that was the best.
I went for a run when I got home and we went to Home Depot to look for an artificial tree but didn’t find one we liked.
After naps, it was Bennett’s birthday party! Emily is the most amazing friend and basically like an aunt to my kids and would do anything for them (as would we for them!). We have loved watching Bennett grow over the past year, and can’t wait for all our naps to be in sync next summer to really have fun! He 13 months younger than A to the day, and 6 months older than Nolan. His party was airplane theme and adorable.
Annabelle walked around all day saying “Happy Birthday Bennett” which was so cute. She loves him and talks about him for hours after we’re done playing.
Sunday morning was a slow one. I won’t lie- I was in a pretty grouchy mood. Nolan’s antics are leaving me tired and just stressed trying to see what is wrong or how I could help him. I’m praying it’s still the whole sickness he still has, but who knows. I attempted some Christmas card photos of the kids, and we went to my parents for dinner. My dad makes delicious crab cakes and we countdown until we get to eat them. Matt and Shelby came over, and we celebrate Shelby’s, my dad’s, and Matt’s birthdays all at once!
And with that fuzzy blurry picture, I’m off! Have a great week, everyone!
