Well hello, everyone! Happy Friday! Anyone have fun plans? My parents are actually keeping Annabelle until tomorrow because we’re heading out tonight (**edited to add that it’s my brother watching her tonight, just at my parents house 😉 She loves her Uncle Matt!**), and there’s a gap in the afternoon after work where I’m hoping for a solid nap. Big dreamer, over here!
I wanted to share some highlights from my birthday today. Thank you all for all the love! It was such a fantastic day. It’s honestly been terrible weather every year for as long as I could remember, so having it be near 90 and sunny all day was crazy!
I awoke to an iced Chai Tea Latte in the fridge and some Dunkin Donut holes on the kitchen table. Talk about a great start to the day! Aaron had also hung up decorations while I was sleeping the night before. He’s a keeper!
Once Annabelle was up and we had breakfast, we headed to a local park because I had heard their splash pad was turned on. It’s nothing crazy- three fountains and a frog with water coming out, but it’s next to a huge sandbox and I thought she’d love it. Oh, she did alright! She played her heart out for a little over an hour before I needed to get home to get ready and head out to lunch with my mom! She took both of us to Eat ‘n’ Park. We were going to go somewhere better, but it’s A’s favorite and it’s such a family restaurant that I didn’t care when she started crying for no reason halfway through lunch, ha.
We got home, A napped, I relaxed, and then we made our way outside again. Miss A had tons of fun in her little bathing suit at her water table. Aaron came home a little early, we played some more, and I opened presents. Aaron surprised me with the Fitbit Charge 2! I’m so excited for it. If you have any tips, send them my way. I feel like I don’t know how to really use it, ha.
After dinner of pizza and cookie cake, we went for a walk (gotta get those steps in!) before calling it a night. It was such a great day. I’m lucky to have a husband making me feel needed and a kiddo who I couldn’t imagine life without!
And now I realize I forgot a family pic. Oops!
