Hey guys! I’m popping in to share our bridesmaid dress shopping adventure! I’m not sure if I have any other topics I haven’t shared with you. If there is something you want me to write about, please email me or comment below! I’d be happy to!
I chose a day in September to go dress shopping. It seemed to be a time when everyone was available, and no one was too busy, yet. Kelly couldn’t make it in to go since she was in school full time and working quite a bit. We missed her a lot!
I am a person who likes to get things done early in the day, or at least start earlier. I get really annoyed if I have to wait around all day for the major event. Therefore, my mom decided to have a brunch to fill everyone up before we headed out! I made two appointments for the day: Alfred Angelo and David’s Bridal.
First, though, the girls all came over, and Aaron’s mom, to eat an amazing breakfast. This was pre-blog, and I didn’t take a picture 🙁 My mom had the table decorated with green and pink napkins, plates, and table cloth. Not only was it my colors, and beautiful, but everything had a Love phrase on them! Made it that much more special. I remember we had cheesy eggs, bacon, French Toast bites (seriously so good.. I will have to find the recipe!), bagels from Panera, and fruit. Literally, all of my favorite foods. During brunch, the girls also got a questionnaire to fill out about Aaron and I, but more about me. I can’t remember who won and knew the most about me! Some of them were pretty tricky, and even I didn’t know! My mom made it up without me knowing, and also had little gifts for the girls on the table. She is pretty amazing.
The first appointment was about 45 minutes away, so we headed on out shortly after finishing up our food! I had ideas of some dresses, but nothing concrete. I knew I wanted pink, and short. The girls started grabbing dresses while waiting for the dressing rooms to open up, and then got to trying on!
This was one dress I had in mind before we went. My friend from work wore this dress in a wedding, and I thought it looked awesome on everyone! Actually, everyone was a huge fan of it! The color would be pink and then we thought the belt would be white!
I had seen this dress in catalogs and loved it! Then, Emily put it on and we didn’t so much. Ultimately, we decided this one was the one we loved! (Awesome faces Emily. She said she didn’t know what face to make. She will also probably kill me)
Here were all of our choices from Alfred Angelo’s!
We headed out to David’s Bridal, next. They didn’t try on too many dresses here, because we found on everyone was happy with!
We ended up loving this dress. I thought it looked great on everyone! It will be in the pink color. We actually found white sashes looked great on them, so they each have a sash, too 🙂 I love the dress, and can’t wait for everyone to wear it!
This is what theirs will look like! I’m not sure about the shoes at this point, and this dress is way too big for her, but it will be pink with a white sash!
So there you have it! Dress shopping for the girls was much easier than I imagined, and much easier than my dress search! It was actually after this stop that we went to try on some wedding dresses for me so everyone could see them, and ultimately, everyone agreed I should get the one I did!
Do you think these could be worn again?
How many dresses do you own that you will never own again?
Have you ever had french toast bites?
