This weekend was just perfect. I hope yours was just as great! I’m heading into this week feeling way more prepared than I have in weeks and I’m eager to start the holiday festivities!
My weekend began Friday after work when we all headed to Emily and Mike’s for dinner. We took over Steak fajitas, and had rice along with some nachos. They were so good, if I say so myself, ha! I love a good steak fajita. The kids played and then we left at 7 because #kidsbedtimes. Ha! But we need to do it more because I loved catching up and watching the kiddos play <3
Bennett and Nolan look to be the same size! ha But Bennett is 6.5 months older
Saturday morning started off sort of slow, but picked up when I started the decorating! I didn’t necessarily mean to begin, but wanted to take down my fall decor. One thing led to another and the Christmas boxes were down! Aaron headed out to my brother’s to go to a brewery and then brew their own beer for the day, while I took the kids to the grocery store in the pouring rain (what a genius idea, ha!), played with my nephews, and enjoyed a luxurious nap time run. I watched another Hallmark Christmas movie, and then tried unpacking some decorations. But, when the kids woke, we headed to my parents because they said they’d order Gyros if we came for dinner. YES please. I love Gyros! So we did that and came home in time for Aaron to be home. After the kids went to bed, we decorated the house!
Sunday morning we were up and out quick. Annabelle was amazed at our Christmas decorations. Her face was priceless when I brought her out from her room. She kept saying “Christmas! Christmas!” It was adorable!! Sunday morning was Nolan’s dedication at church! We were blessed with family and friends who came for it, too.
Yep, 3 piece suit with a tie. Nolan was looking sharp
Once we came home, and after a quick trip to Walmart, naps for all happened and it snowed! Nothing laid on the ground, but it was still a nice scene when we were putting up our Christmas tree. Annabelle stayed over my parents last night (she cries to go to Grandma’s house at least once a day, ha!), and the three of us went to my nephew Roman’s hockey game. It was freezing but he scored 2 goals and I loved seeing him play. I rounded out the night with a glass of wine while admiring our Christmas tree.
It was SUCH a great weekend and I know this week will be just as fun!
