Hello, hello, everyone! I am hoping everyone is doing well and ready for this weekend! If you celebrate Christmas, I do hope it was a good one!
I thought I’d do my recap for Christmas Eve today! We are truly blessed that we were able to find a way to compromise and celebrate with all of our families. A few years ago, we talked with Aaron’s family, and all came to an agreement that Christmas Eve would be the celebration with his side of the family and that’s exactly what we did!
Aaron and I went to the 3 o’clock Christmas Eve service. It was beautiful, but sort of weird as we have been going to church with both sides of our family for the past few years. We still enjoyed it!
Before long, we made our way to my parents for dinner. Aaron’s family went to 6 o clock service, so we decided to eat with my parents, and they made crab cakes! Mmm, it was all delicious!
Around 7, we made our way to Aaron’s family where we sang Happy Birthday to Jesus, had our gift exchange, enjoyed some Taco dip (courtesy of me!) and were able to just relax and enjoy each other’s company.
We finally made our way home late that night, where we dug into our Christmas Eve gifts. We started the tradition last year to open up new pajamas each year. This year, I threw in some Santa slippers, and two new Christmas mugs with the letter “B” on them. I am a sucker for coffee mugs! We ended our night watching A Christmas Carol before heading to bed for Santa to arrive!
What did you do for Christmas Eve?
Who all has off today?
