Before I begin, I want to note that I’ve been praying and thinking of all those in Florida and dealing with the aftermath now. If you live in Florida, let me know how you’re doing! Also, the events of September 11 will never be forgotten. Take a moment and say a prayer (if that’s your kind of thing..) today to remember all those we lost.
The crisp breeze that Fall brings is always a welcomed treat after a summer of heat. This weekend was no exception. The mornings were definitely crisp, and I loved having a cup of tea walking around in my slipper.
While Friday night we just hung out at my BIL and SIL’s house (where Nolan discovered an exersaucer and loved it!), Saturday brought tons of adventures. When I woke to everyone sleeping, I squeezed in a 2 mile run before getting ready for the day, getting my kiddos up and fed (delicious egg sandwich) and headed to a garage sale. I found a few things but dashed home and changed because Annabelle had her first soccer practice! Aaron and I both went and it was so fun. She listened way better than I ever thought she would, knew what to do, and had lots of fun! I’m excited for the next few weeks of practice!
Right after we brought her home, my mom stayed with the kiddos so Aaron and I could go to Kennywood! We bought tickets in June but every time we tried to go, it rained, so we finally used them. It was the perfect day for some roller coasters! We got there around noon and walked right on to almost every ride. We rode a few a second time before deciding to leave as the lines picked up. My mom had taken the kids to her house after naps, so Aaron and I came home and had over 2 hours of time without any kids. We weren’t sure what to do with it, ha but ended up putting up our fall decorations and I headed to Target, Dollar Tree, and Walmart in search of a few more things. I made it home right when the kids came home, and enjoyed a nice evening soaking in the fall decorations after the kids went to bed.
Sunday morning was another later start and included some church, grocery shopping, Michael’s shopping, and Toys R’ Us for a soccer ball! Need to practice those soccer skills Aaron and I enjoyed some nap time peacefulness for the Steeler game, too! My nephews came over after the game to play, and then the kids and I took a walk that evening while Aaron did some yard work.
SUCH a great weekend! Now for a new week. I already feel like it’s going to drag on. Here’s hoping it flies!
