Last night I had another dress fitting! For my first fitting, I brought along things that ultimately needed put on, but I knew the alterations department wouldn’t be there. Getting to make another appointment and try on my dress again was definitely not something I minded!
This dress fitting came at the perfect time. With our house hunt now over (knock on wood), I am really beginning to get really excited for our wedding, and everything that needs to be done! Instead of thinking of things as chores because of a lack of time due to house searching, things are now much more enjoyable.
This past weekend I managed to work on the invitations some more, and started brainstorming ideas for our programs! Side note: I have no idea what to put in it, so any suggestions are welcomed! Aaron has even been helping brainstorm wording to go on things because my brain has been fried! I manage to get the point across, but it sounds really lame. Thankfully he has a way with words Aaron will be leaving this weekend to go to San Diego for work for about a week, which means I have lots of time to do fun wedding things! Bridget, one of my bridesmaids, and her mom have offered to help me assemble the invitations, and I’m sure I’ll find other things for them to help with! I can’t explain how much stress was lifted with a house, and how I feel back to normal again!
The dress fitting was great! I absolutely love my dress with all the added accessories. What I went into the appointment thinking I wanted completely changed! The alterations lady started pinning away and I loved the end result!
I also dragged Bridget with me to the appointment. I didn’t so much drag, as she was super excited to come, but I definitely wanted someone other than just my mom and I to make decisions! I needed a fresh set of eyes. Her eyes were perfect! It also helped because Bridget and my mom kept each other busy while I was busy!
These also may or may not be my wedding shoes I found them last year on clearance at Macy’s, and really just bought them because they are adorable. When we chose our wedding colors, I thought they would be perfect! I am all about making a statement with shoe colors, and knew these would be perfect! It also helps that they are high enough that I don’t need my dress hemmed! Woo! Saving money right there!
My camera didn’t capture the color, but it is a bright pink just like my girls are wearing!
It was a success!
