There’s nothing quite like holidays when you have a child. It’s way more fun to experience the joy they see, and completely takes away from wanting anything for yourself. In fact, I didn’t buy a single piece of candy this year! So crazy but it was about much more than that.
Little Miss got us up at 7, and we both went to get her before letting her see what the Easter bunny brought her! She was still a bit sleepy, but then was very excited to see her basket.
Her basket included various outdoor things since she loves being outside, as well as some Play-Doh and a bubble machine because blowing bubbles gets reallll tiring after a while
We enjoyed a Bacon, egg and cheese crescent roll, which I never made before but found on Facebook last week. It was pretty good, but I didn’t feel well for most of the day and I’m not sure if the red pepper in there could have something to do with it.
Since we were so kind to share last week, my dad was home battling the end of the stomach flu, but my mom stopped over to give Annabelle her basket from them. It may have included a soccer net, with a ball, puck, and tennis ball and pucks. Annabelle LOVED it and somehow knew the word hockey and walks around saying that since then! My mom also hid a few eggs for her outside that she got to go find.
We hurried up and got ready for church. After we got home and played some more outside and both she & I took a nap, we headed to my grandma’s for Easter celebration.
It was so fun, and come Sunday night, I cleaned up a bit and then tried to get to bed early. I’ve been struggling with sleeping at night lately but oh well. It was a fantastic Easter and I just loved how much fun Annabelle makes the holidays.
