Saying I am obsessed with photos is probably an understatement. I usually take pictures everywhere I go, and I don’t just take one. At Deep Creek? Expect hundreds of photos. I think last year we were in the thousands. I just love looking back at photos and being able to relive the moments.
When making a budget, and starting to plan our wedding, I knew I wanted someone amazing for our photos. I didn’t want someone who was new, and I didn’t want just one person. I wanted people to capture all of the moments, with Aaron and I in the morning. My aunt’s best friend is actually a photographer, and I had seen her work. There had been a few people I used to work with that used her, and I had just fallen in love with those photos. I convinced my dad that she was completely worth the price after my mom and I went to check her work out in person.
The only downfall to picking an amazing photographer would be that everyone else thinks they are also amazing, and she was booked solid for engagement photos. Luckily, I can take off any days I need to being a sub, and Aaron has off every other Friday. I had thought long and hard about when I wanted these photos, and ultimately decided I would love fall pictures for the color of the leaves, mostly because our wedding photos will be from the summer. I really would have liked winter pictures, but snow is no guarantee (except in March apparently!), and I felt like the background would be ugly without snow in the middle of the winter!
After last minute shopping to choose the clothes, and being completely nervous about the weather because rain dates were hard to schedule, we were off for our photos! We chose to take them in the morning, and I was so glad we did! It ended up being really sunny, which we had to work around, and ended up getting hot! This was the first time Aaron met 2 of the 3 photographers we will have, and he loved them. He told me how at ease he felt with them, and that he could tell they knew exactly what they were doing- everything I wanted in a photographer!
Without making you wait anymore, here are some of my favorite pictures! She took a lot, so these aren’t even close to being all of them.

What is something that you think is worth paying extra for? Not necessarily wedding related!
