Good morning everyone! I had such a blast yesterday for our girls day and can’t wait to recap tomorrow! Until then, let’s talk food, fitness, and another recipe!
Make sure you check our my favorite recipe from yesterday!
Obviously with Christmas coming this week, our meals are a bit off! however I am making different food for different parties so I thought I’d share it all!
Tonight– fridge cleanout!
Monday– Tortilla Soup (frozen) and Beer Biscuits.
My cousins are coming over, too, so I’m making a Mississippi Sin dip, nachos and cheese, and will have salsa and chips!
Tuesday– since my cousins are staying over, we will be making eggs, bacon, and toast for breakfast!
Dinner will be with my parents after church with them!
I will be making buffalo chicken dip and a cheese ball for appetizers for our Christmas Eve celebration with Aaron’s family.
Wednesday– I’m making my Grampas homemade cinnamon rolls and my family is coming for breakfast and to do gifts. I may also make my no yeast cinnamon rolls. I’m also making a crab dip appetizer for Christmas Day celebration with my mom’s family.
Thursday– this is when we celebrate Christmas with my dad’s family. I will take cookies there and mayyy make a pizza dip! Might be wiped out, haha!
Friday– Leftover tortilla Soup
Saturday– Chicken, brown rice, veggies! I know we will be feeling like a healthy meal option is the best at this point!
As for the fitness goes, well, hasn’t really happened! I’m feeling much better, and hope I have more relief on Monday when the stitches come out! I actually did get in a few workouts, though.
Wednesday– Biceps and Triceps and a core workout I made up on the spot.
Thursday– New quick shoulder workout- I’ll be sharing it tomorrow!
Saturday– a lot of walking, so I’m counting it!
Sunday– heading out for a family date to the strip district! They’ll be lots of walking and maybe I’ll get another weights workout in today.
And now for a NEW recipe!
Today’s recipe is one of my favorites. You know those recipes you mention and every one just nods their head and gets excited thinking about?
Those ones where you say where they came from, and suddenly the cookies are gone! You know, the kind that your husband eats without them even being cooled? Yep, these are them.
Everyone needs a SUGAR COOKIE from scratch recipe. I love to buy store bought cookie dough, but let’s be honest, it never gets made. I eat it all straight from the package, first When I make cookies, I like to make them from scratch. I make them a bit on the thicker side, so they are chewy. I make them into cut outs, so they are fun to decorate and hand out. I make them to please the crowd, which is exactly what these do. I hope you enjoy them! It’s an easy recipe, and one that make a LOT (I haven’t even decorated all of mine yet that’s how many it makes!)
Alright friends, I’m off to hang out with my family this morning, and hopefully take it easy this afternoon. There’s a few things I want to do with Aaron before Christmas comes, and would like to relax before the hustle and bustle begins! Have a wonderful Sunday!
