I had such a great time yesterday with Caitlin! We met up at Starbucks, and connected right away. She is the sweetest girl, and am so glad to have finally met her! We talked about so much, and time flew by. I looked at my watch once, and then after we left, I realized it was 2 hours since we met! It felt like a half hour. I can’t wait to meet up again!
Shortly after dashing home and eating some lunch (yummy smoked turkey wrap with mozzarella cheese!), I had some more furniture plans! Aaron and I decided on a couch and chair, and a mattress!
We managed to get a high(er) end mattress for a really good price (huge sales this weekend)! At first, we were trying to stick to a budget and find a cheaper mattress. We soon realized that it was something worth the investment and a bit more money (helps with 0% financing!) so we finally found the one! It is super comfy and has a pillow top- amazing comfort and I can’t wait for it to come in!
Our next stop:
Believe it or not, after searching all over creation, this is where we found the best furniture. I never knew Big Lots sold any furniture, but they do and it is very comfortable! It’s also very affordable. Aaron and I weren’t really sure what our budget would get us for furniture. We knew what we could afford, so we kept looking, and didn’t have the highest hopes for stuff right now. We were shocked that we could afford a couch and a chair with these prices! We also found a Bed Set that we both love, but it wasn’t on any kind of sale for this weekend, and we don’t have room for it now, so we chose to hold off! I feel so much better with at least having some stuff! I can sleep on our mattress on the floor if need be
After managing to get it all in the car, we drove very slowly home and unloaded it in our garage- the exact place that is holding all of my things for our house. Seriously, my parents can’t wait for me to get our house for only one reason- get all my stuff out of their house! Haha (And yes, that is the only reason they want me to move out )
Before meeting up with Caitlin, I woke up with a lot more motivation than last week and conquered a great workout! My legs are still sore from my workout on Saturday, but I felt great! It was a 30 minute elliptical routine, and a full body workout, too. After all the eating I’ve been doing this weekend, it felt great to get a little sweaty!
Speaking of sweaty… it’s Tuesday! You know what that means
This weeks workout is on the treadmill. The speeds are based on what I usually run at, but feel free to adjust them to your needs! If you need a walking workout, tone these numbers down! If you run faster (btw teach me how!) then speed it up!
I hope you all had a great Memorial day, and spent the day relaxing and doing what you wanted! Our day ended up being cold and gloomy, which was perfect to relax and sneak in a nap! I still feel like I could use a weekend to recover from my weekend Who feels the same way?!
What fun things did you do this weekend?
What is your favorite way to cross-train?
Did you know Big Lots sold furniture? Have you ever been in one?
I can say that, before this weekend, I wasn’t! Aaron and I loved looking all over and finding such great things!
