Hi friends! Happy Monday.
How was your weekend? I hope you treated your husbands/dads extra well yesterday for Father’s Day.
Our weekend was a good one! I mean, anytime I have an extra set of hands these days is a good one. Speaking of, Friday I spent at my parents house. My brother and dad work from home on Fridays, so they were home, too. Around 9ish (seriously takes me that long to get out of my house! ha), we headed over to spend the day with grandma and grandpa and uncle Matt. Annabelle loved all the attention, and I was glad she had it. It’s hard for her to understand why she can’t have me running around all the time with her, like when I’m feeding Nolan, or when he’s sleeping and she wants to go for a walk. I know she will get it, and each day she learns more and more, but it still breaks my heart that I can’t give her all the attention.
Nolan slept, ate, pooped, and played a little bit. I just love this pic of him with my dad, though! I didn’t snap any of Annabelle. Oops!
Saturday morning we got out of the house quickly because it was boat day! After storms derailed our plans on Friday, we remade them for yesterday. Annabelle had so much fun! My mom stayed on shore for the majority of the morning with Nolan while he slept (our life jackets aren’t tiny enough. Well, I can’t even find tiny ones!). He did come on for just a little at the end though!
After great naps for the other 3 in my fam, we made our way to my Uncle’s house for a graduation party for my cousin. I didn’t snap any photos because I was trying to get Nolan to sleep and keep him cool (it was like 90 and my goodness he is such a hot little boy!). But! Before anyone ruined clothes, I made my family take a photo. I needed one with all of us in it!
Sunday was Father’s Day and the theme was “go with the flow.” Aaron wouldn’t tell me what he wanted to do and instead said he just wanted to roll with it. So I let him sleep in, handled both kids until Annabelle figured out he was still home and ran in the room, made bacon and oatmeal for him for breakfast (his choice), watched church because somehow the morning flew and we didn’t make it, played outside and opened presents, watched some TV and hung out, made brownies, visited the in-laws, A napped, had watermelon, pasta salad, corn on the cob, and steak (for Aaron, chicken for me) for dinner, and finished the night with a glass of wine for me and beer for Aaron on the couch. Whew, sounds like more than I think it was! We also finally snapped a photo of us in our “bear” shirts. Matt and Shelby got them for us and I needed to take a picture before Nolan doesn’t fit in it anymore! ha
