Helloooo! It’s Sunday, which means it’s meal planning time!
Sunday: Leftovers. After my mother in laws surgery, a lot of people brought food over. Actually, tons were soups, and we were given some leftovers. I’m more than excited to dig in!
Monday: Turkey dinner at my parents. Aaron might be gone for Thanksgiving (sad), my mom has a turkey to make, and my dad wants a good meal before surgery, so it’s turkey day! P.S. I don’t like turkey.. weird, I know.
Tuesday: Sweet and Sour Chicken, broccoli, and noodles
Wednesday: Hopefully trying Mozzarella Beer Biscuits, and making a Broccoli Cheddar soup. Never did end up making it last week.
Thursday: Salsa Chicken in the crockpot (not sure what happened with my meals last week, but this wasn’t used)
Friday: Homemade Pizza
Saturday: Spaghetti and Meatballs
Sunday: Dinner at my aunt’s house!
Fitness for the Week
I actually had a great week of workouts this week. I enjoyed all of my runs, and left my body sore with a few different workouts! I call that a success. And now, it’s taper week!
Sunday: 10 miles! I felt good during the run, and am ready to start taking on less mileage.
Monday: I woke up a bit sore, so I did Yoga for Runners and the upper arm burner.
Tuesday: Tackled a 6 mile run in the chilly weather. It felt great! I also did Sleep and Slender Abs 3x
Wednesday: 30 minute elliptical workout and a new full body workout I’ll be sharing Tuesday.
Thursday: 8×800 repeats at 5K pace with a 1 mile warm up, and 3/4 mile cool down. Honestly, I was dreading this. I did not think it would go well, and it was freezing outside. I bundled up and headed to the track, though, just hoping to get done what I could get done. I knew this was my last speed work before the race, so I didn’t want to give up on it. Honestly, I ran all of them and felt great! At first I tried slowing down my speed because I thought it was too fast, but the only time it was hard was against the wind! I was so proud of myself for completing this! I was also impressed with my times! I also did 8 minute abs.
I didn’t think about timing them until the second. Also, these included me taking my gloves off to get out my phone and shut off the timer!
The horses cheered me on, too
Saturday: 7 mile early morning run in the cold! I know I just said how I don’t like the cold, but after I bundled up, it wasn’t too bad. My choice was either early in the cold, or later with strong wind. Wind makes me feel like I am going nowhere so I stuck to the early morning.
Really looks sunny, right?
Today: Rest Day, though I’m hoping to get out for a relaxing walk.
Would you rather run in the cold or the wind?
Is the weather forecast in your area ever right?
Nope. Even when it’s raining they tell us there’s a chance it could rain! Haha
