Happy Friday! Is everyone doing the Friday dance? This week seemed to pass soooo slow, and I’m not quite sure why! I was confused as to the day I’m pretty sure every.single.day. Oh well, before we kick off this Friday, let’s chat about some of the good things from the week! Linking up with Heather for Friday Favorites.
I raved about The Happy Planner last year, and this year is no different. I actually got it for $10 on Black Friday, or Cyber Monday (I can’t remember) but since I saved so much money, I bought quite a few accessories for it, too I love it and since it started in July (I do wish there was an option of when to start it…) I can use it now! Something about the fresh pages…
The cabinets are finished! Ahh, all painted and put back. I was going to share a picture but then I feel like it could take away from the whole finished product? Not sure. Sadly there’s still a lot to do. Those things are: 1. build the spice rack, 2. order, paint, and install crown molding, 3. paint the ceiling, 4. paint and re-install the baseboards, and 5. paint the countertops, which I have a feeling is going to not be an easy project. More because they have to dry for 2 days, so goodbye sink for 2 days/having any countertops. Just trying to find the logistics of that!
Lately, running hasn’t been my favorite thing. I took a step back and over 3.5 weeks, I ran 1 time. But, now the spark has returned and I love it! I still do best running 2-3 days a week (3-4 if I’m training for something), and I’m just going with what feels good. Typically I aim for 30 minutes, and then stay on for the extra 3-4 minutes to get in 4 miles. It’s a mental thing and saying 30 minutes is better to me
The Magnolia Story:
Ok, so I checked out The Best Yes and Present Over Perfect from the library, and sadly just couldn’t get into them. Well, I read most of The Best Yes and then skimmed the rest before it needed returned, and unfortunately, I never really got into Present Over Perfect before it needed returned and I couldn’t renew since there was a wait list. BUT! I had been on the wait list for The Magnolia Story for weeks and it finally came in! Ahh I started it Wednesday night and all I want to do is read it. I just love Chip and Joanna.
Burts Bees will forever be my favorite chapstick, but this is coming super close. Aaron has a habit of taking my chapstick and then LOSING it! Ugh I can’t even tell you how many he’s either 1. lost, or 2. left in his pocket and they go through the dryer. We were in desperate need and I didn’t feel like spending $3 for each, so I picked up this for like $2.50 for 2 and it’s becoming a favorite. I used it before I went to bed the other night and my lips were still smooth when I woke up.
Alright, friends, I’m off to get the workday over and my weekend started! Aaron has off today and after so many of his days off being spent on the kitchen, I’m excited he finally has a day with his little girl! Before you go… just a reminder
