I missed you guys yesterday, but my original post just wasn’t where I wanted it to be, and I truthfully didn’t have the energy Wednesday to get it done. Know the feeling? I was still dealing with a lot of back/neck pain, though better after the chiropractor, and chasing after a toddler wasn’t helping. But, I’m here now with some favorites and I’ll share that post next week!
Whole Foods Grand Opening:
You guys. I’ve been in Whole Foods once before. WHAT! I know, I know, so crazy. But, we just didn’t have any nearby so I never went! But! One literally opened 2 minutes away. It’s both nice and a curse on my wallet, ha. Anywayyy, the store opened on Wednesday, and Emily and I brought the kiddos to the grand opening. Let’s just say everyone must have been off because it was a crazy nuthouse, and parking was ridiculous! But, I was really impressed with all the employees, and the selection. Though a lot of it is very expensive, I found numerous things that were the same price as other stores (Annabelle’s Stonyfield yogurt, for example) and a lot of their fruit/nut bars were only $1.
So anywayy, we made our way around the store, picking up little things, checking out all they had, and specifically picking up Halo Top ice cream. At the check out, the employee filled me in on their app with coupons that will come off when scanned (no work for you, basically) and also the Kids Corner, or whatever it’s called! Free juices and snacks? Annabelle sure loved her little snack!
Halo Top Ice cream:
This would be one of my main reasons for going, if I’m honest. I have heard so much about Halo Top, but never found it in stores. It was on sale for 2/$7 for this week, so I picked up Cookie Dough and Birthday Cake. I truly didn’t know what to expect BUT Aaron and I both loved it! I wanted to eat the entire Pint, but saved some I have a feeling I’ll be back this week to stock up on more before it goes back up in price.
I received an e-mail the other day about Bruegger’s celebrating their 34th birthday on Thursday, Feb. 2. In honor of that, if you sign up for their list, you’ll get a coupon for 3 free bagels on Thursday from open – 11am! I just wanted to share!
Benson has been through the ringer since Annabelle was born. He’s still my baby and I truly try to give him attention, but it’s hard. He went from being the center of our world to just sort of… not, and I feel bad. He has been really good though, with Annabelle. She is always trying to give him treats, and pet him. He’s definitely swatted at her a few times, but not too bad, and she’s always aggravated him (tried to do something when he’s sleeping). He’s never done it out of the blue. Anyway, I just love his cuddles and he’s been snuggling up a lot more when he can lately!
Walks and Fresh Air:
Wednesday afternoon was in the 50s and sunny, so Annabelle and I ended up out on a walk. It felt so great to just get fresh air. It was exactly what we both needed.
I truly don’t take advantage of the library as much as I should. After my chiropractor appt. on Wednesday, we had time to kill and were a minute from the library, so we went. Annabelle had a blast! The kids area was packed and I basically had to pry her away from it to leave! BUT! I didn’t have a chance to pick up a new book. Any favorites out there? I’d love to get into a new book!
And that’s a wrap. We don’t really have plans this weekend, which I am pumped for! We may go in search for a rug for Annabelle’s room, and I’d love to tackle some of our unfinished projects around the house. I’m also feeling overwhelmed with Annabelle basically living in two rooms right now, and boy things scattered everywhere, so I’m hoping to maybe organize her new closet and at least feel accomplished with that, ha!
