Well, hi, everyone! I hope you all had a fantastic holiday and are ready to celebrate the New Year this weekend. I have been absent this week, which was mostly intentional. I had hoped to get a recap of Christmas up, but it hasn’t happened yet, oops! Look for more next week on Christmas and a look at this past year.
I thought today I’d share some favorites of the week in a lighthearted Friday post. Thanks Heather!
Dates with my Mom:
Aaron left on Monday for a work trip – but came home last night, woo!- so I spent some extra time with my mom. Annabelle and I stayed over Tuesday night, and she stayed over Wednesday night. I have missed those girl nights! Always a fun time.
Annabelle’s New Room:
I haven’t shared too much yet on this – it’s a post waiting to finish- but Annabelle will be switching rooms which is most of the reason we had made the office a play room. The room was a coral color and we wanted to make it a light pink. I decided to get it done when Aaron was gone, so Wednesday I made it happen. My mom came and helped tremendously. She even sent me to bed and finished the 3rd coat and putting everything back together. I love how it turned out!
Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life
(Spoiler alert) My mom and I finalllyyyy finished up Gilmore Girls! There were definitely some parts I was just eh on (like the musical…?) but for the most part I really enjoyed it. I also totally called Rory at the end. I had a feeling before she saw her dad, but then when her dad appeared I put it out of my mind. Ta da! I didn’t agree with the whole affair on Logan’s part but do think it ended in a great way.
We had a few days that were really sunny and warm, which was great to get out and get fresh air! We enjoyed getting out, playing with some toys, and A loved swinging.
My college friends came over yesterday (Sam, Nikki, and Kayla) and it was really nice to catch up. We don’t live far, but everyone’s lives pulls in different ways so getting together isn’t the easiest. I’m so glad to still have these girls in my life. Annabelle had a blast running around and playing with them, and I appreciated the extra attention because she was not so easy yesterday. Ay yi yi.. this girl ! haha
Alright, I’m off to enjoy the day with Aaron and Annabelle! We’ve missed Aaron lots and I am in desperate need of a break haha I wish you all a Happy New Year!
