Happy Sunday! My day started bright and early taking Aaron to the airport. It was sad to see him go because I know he was very stressed about it. His trip is right in the middle of all of our housing things being due. It really is a terrible time, but hopefully he gets to San Diego and can enjoy his time!
I am off to a bridal shower in a bit for one of my bridesmaids sister. She has been with her fiancé since middle school, and are finally getting married! I couldn’t be happier for them, and that I get to see all of them today!!
Yesterday, my mom and I went to garage sales. I mentioned how I love them, and yesterday didn’t disappoint! The first one we went to was terrible, though. I wish I would’ve taken pictures (blogger fail!) The front door had a sign that said “enter at our own risk.” Great way to start. Signs were plastered everywhere warning us they weren’t responsible for injuries. I’m not sure what was supposed to be going on there, but my mom and I quickly left (I was nervous to buy anything from that house anyway!)
Luckily, we scored at all the other garage sales. We went to a few single ones, and then an entire plan had one. Here are some of my finds.
How awesome are these signs? One of is Pittsburgh at night, and the other of Consol Energy Center (where the Penguins play!). Aaron loved them, and I can’t wait to frame them and put them up in our house!
I was so excited to find all of these board games! Did you know they are super expensive in the stores? We were going to register for some, but a game of Apples to Apples was over $20! These were all $2 or less! Bargain shopper right here!
For some reason our new house doesn’t have a microwave. All other appliances are brand new (kitchen was redone last year), but just minus a microwave. I scored this baby for $1! It totally works, too! It might not be exactly what we want (strength wise), but for now, it will totally work!
I thought these would look nice in our room, and I also bought the letters that spell LOVE at a garage sale (they were wrapped up, though) which I hope looks great with this!
All of my finds cost me less than $20, maybe even $15! This is why I love garage sales!!
The rest of my day was spent with a long run (more on that tomorrow, and a giveaway!), followed by quality time with Aaron, and obviously a trip to Frozen Yogurt. Good news, everyone! Aaron’s sister convinced him to try chocolate (for what reason he hasn’t, I’m not sure!), and he loved it! This would be good because Aaron would never go get Fro Yo with me!! He always said he didn’t like it. Now he says this was “secret special chocolate” and told me he will go back to this place only. Challenge accepted.
How cute are Aaron and Roman matching! Not even planned!
Alright folks, have a great rest of your Sunday!
1. What is your favorite song right now?
2. Do you go healthy on the fro yo toppings, or like me and load it up with cookies?
3. Which game from above is your favorite or have you played before? Some are new to me!
