This has been such a terrific weekend; I hope yours was, too! Is everyone done now shopping? I can’t believe how many stores are open 24 hours this holiday season! Craziness…I went to Walmart the other night for basic necessities we were out of, and completely forgot it was holiday season and waited in line for 15 minutes!
Linking up with the Diva!
Did you catch my posts this weekend?
My girlfriends came over and we had our little cookie exchange. I forgot to take pictures, and then we ate them all. Whoops! Nikki made some Almond ones, Cinnamon roll ones, and a S’mores cheesecake, Kayla made Red Velvet, and Sam made cupcakes and some M&M! Lots to go around. I put a spread out of all the ones I’ve been making.
We spent the evening chatting away, and watching Shark Tank. Have you seen that show? It’s so addicting! It happened to be on, and then we were hooked!
I was up bright and early for our Girl’s spa day! Woo! It was such a blast. The weather wasn’t Christmas-like, it was in the 60s and rainy, but whatever, but we still enjoyed the entire day.
Everyone felt terrific after relaxing. We quickly stopped at my house to change, put make up on, and look presentable, and headed out for some shopping around my house!
Our lunch/dinner selection was the one and only, Olive Garden. I’ve been there a few times in the last 6 months or so, and I have been very disappointed. The breadsticks were cold, and just blah, the food was small portion and just okay.
I decided to step out of my shell and go for the Baked Parmesan Shrimp. It was the best decision all day, and was phenomenal. I topped it off with many breadsticks because they were out of this world! I was excited to have good food there because it’s always been one of my favorite places!
We spent the rest of the day shopping out hearts out, before they dropped me off and headed to some other stores. All the walking caught up to me, but that was ok. We had plenty of laughs, and really just enjoyed being around each other!
Aaron and I met my parents and Matt at 10:00 to go to the Strip district. My parent’s haven’t been there in years, and since it was a gorgeous day, we went for it. We woke up to it pouring, but we lucked out and had no rain while we were there, and the temps were in the high 60s. It made for a beautiful day to walk around.
We tasted different things, bought some goodies, and just enjoyed the time. I loved this huge snowman they had! Massive!
How beautiful are these flowers? Aaron bought them to give his mom on Christmas Eve. $5 for a beautiful dozen of yellow roses; you can’t beat it!
I came away with a cross-body bag. We stopped in one store and I saw it, but wasn’t sure I wanted it. Sure enough, I couldn’t quit thinking about it, so I went back. I decided to get purple! I have one of these from Thirty One, and have really loved wearing it for errands and walking around places, but I wanted a fashionable one. This works!
Aaron’s friends came over for the Fantasy Football Championship, where Benny made a new friend! Haha Too cute.
Wouldn’t you know I also got in a workout! We had been looking on Craig’s list for a cheap elliptical for a while, and someone at Aaron’s work was getting rid of one he just never uses. We decided to take it (it was free) and if it was crap, we’d throw it away. Schedules finally worked for Aaron to get it last Saturday- the day after I had my surgery, and day 1 that I couldn’t work out. It was terrible having that in the basement and not using it, but I did yesterday! I took it easy, and decided I would get off whenever I felt discomfort, but I lasted 30 minutes. Best part were those endorphins after I’m pretty sure Aaron wanted to send me away the past few days! I might have been was a grouch not working out…
Come back this afternoon for a new recipe! This post is getting too long.
