Hi friends! It’s been a while since I just hopped on here and chatted, so let’s have ourselves a coffee date.
If we were having coffee, I probably would have postponed it.That’s just my life these days! I tried to start this post, for instance, 7 hours ago and I’m only now typing. It’s been a rough few days!
If we were having coffee, I’d tell you how much I love having my BIL and SIL close by. We get together at least once a week, but usually more, to let the kids play and it’s so fun. Annabelle loves her cousins!
I’d also ask how your summer is going. I won’t lie, I had some grand expectations with my bucket list, but not all of it has happened. I’m hoping to knock a few more things off but we shall see. I feel like the summer will be over so soon!
If we were having coffee, you’d probably wonder why you haven’t had an invite on the boat yet. Honestly, we’ve been on it a handful of times and it isn’t even in the river! It makes me so sad. After Deep Creek, the river had major flooding, and it’s still not all back to what it should be. So it sits in my parents driveway…
We’d probably move into talking about TV shows and I’d wonder what you are into. We are loving New Girl. I don’t know what took us so long to start watching it, but it’s been so funny and a great escape at the end of the day.
I’d tell you I miss spontaneous adventures. Obviously I love my family, but the days of spontaneity on put on hold for a few years, and it’s a little sad. Everything needs to be planned. With that said, Aaron and I are hopefully heading out on a date tomorrow night, and I’m excited to actually get dressed.
Actually got dressed on Monday! To go to the doctor for Nolan… no where fun, ha!
Oh, I’d talk to you about working out and how I have some pesky pounds I need to lose (but the cookies I just made last night surely aren’t helping). I’d talk to you about Burn Bootcamp. One just opened about 10 minutes from my house and there was a free 30 day trial, which I’ve been doing. I actually had my mom sign up, too, and she’s been rocking it. She goes to the 6;30 am class, and I’ve been to a few different times. Yesterday I actually got both kids to the 8:30 class! I am loving the push the workouts are giving me, and I’m oh, so sore.
Super sweaty after yesterday’s workout!
If we were having coffee, I’d tell you my house is a mess, and I physically have no energy to clean it by the end of the night. So, I remind myself that anyone who comes over won’t care about the dirty dishes, or the toys scattered throughout. I may, but I would never judge someone else’s house so there’s that.
I’d also go on about how funny Annabelle is, how much she challenges me, the hugs and kisses out of the blue are to die for. I’d say that Nolan is giving me such a run for my money with naps, and it’s literally driving me bonkers, but he has the most precious smile and watching him chat with us and blow bubbles melts my heart. They are my world, and while things are definitely challenging, I know we’ll get through it.
On that note, I’m going to finish my green tea, snuggle up Mr. Nolan, read some bedtime books to A and call it a night. Oh, I’m going to fill up that wine glass too, because, #YOLO and #MOMLIFE.
So tell me..
What show are you watching?
How’s your summer going?
What kind of workouts are you doing?
