Happy Monday, everyone! Hope you are all refreshed and ready to go!
Our weekend turned out to be fantastic. We were both off on Friday, giving us enough time to get things ready for Halloween. We had three parties to attend to, but only made it to the two local parties. Let’s back up a bit. For Halloween this year, we were….
Google Maps! I saw this costume on some “Last Minute DIY Costume” list, and we both agreed it’d be good. We bought duct tape and posterboard, making out costume cost $8.29. Can’t beat it! Oh, and this little boy was a FireCat, hahha.
He immediately laid down when I put it on him, and hated it.
Aaron and I were both very excited for trick or treaters, but ended up only have 3. #fail.
The weather was in the 30s, with rain and wind. I know I wouldn’t want to be out! We ended up having our Trick or Treaters around 7:30, and they literally took half the bowl of candy! We joked and said we should give them all of it, and the mom said “Oh yeah go ahead. We’ll definitely eat it.” She proceeded to tell her kids to keep getting more! I finally said stop, but wanted to say.. perhaps you shouldn’t have that much candy ever consumed Haha
We headed out to party #1 right after!
The ladies! We headed to our other friend’s right after, and didn’t get home until after 1. We slept in on Saturday before I got up and immediately started cleaning our house. We also rearranged our basement before heading out for a day date! I am looking for decorative baskets, similar to these, and we had a few returns to make.
We quickly found ourselves hungry, and since we still had coupons to use up, we went to My Big Fat Greek Gyro!
We each had a Gyro, and “shared” fries, but I’m not a fan of fresh cut.
Sunday was extra nice as I found myself up earlier and was able to get in a fantastic workout before church. I haven’t been working out in the mornings much anymore, but this totally reminded me of how amazing it feels to get it done (since I teach at night, mornings just don’t happen). I also made it home from church in time to watch the winners cross the finish line for the NYC Marathon!
The afternoon was spent doing the usual prepping for the week, tidying up, and then heading to the in-laws for dinner!
How many Trick or Treaters did you have?
What did you dress up as?
Morning or evening exerciser?
Did you watch the NYC Marathon?
I was so sad for Kara Goucher
