Good morning! Here’s a recap of our slower, yet still busy, weekend.
After a lazy morning, Aaron and I headed to the boat to hang out with my parents. It was a gorgeous day: not too cool but not too hot either.
After cleaning up a bit, I went to dinner with my friends. It’s been a while since we all got together, and this was perfect. We went to Bado’s Bar and Grill in Mt. Lebanon. Jenna and Kathryn ordered pizza, Alex had a calzone, and I ordered an Italian Hoagie. It was voted #1 in Pittsburgh, but unfortunately, I wasn’t so happy with it. It seemed to be toasted, but the meat wasn’t all that hot, and you could hardly tell there was dressing on it. I asked for a side of dressing and that definitely helped and I gobbled it up!
Jenna and Alex came back to my house where we hung out on the deck and just chatted.
While I was gone all night Friday night, Aaron began putting in a garbage disposal. If you remember, I got one for my birthday, and he decided to tackle it. Let it be known he has never worked with wires, plumbing or electrical work. But, he worked hard and continued on Saturday.
He kept working and after I finished a 6 mile run, I headed off to a bridal shower for my friend Brittany. It was so beautiful, and run so smoothly! Perfect, if you ask me!
I can’t wait for their wedding! I know she will be a beautiful bride, and I love Tim like my brother. (He has been Matt’s best friend for years!)
We ordered Pizza Hut for dinner after Aaron finished installing the disposal. It was so good! I was very happy with our decision. The rest of the night included a walk to Petco, playing frisbee, pulling weeds, and watching the Steeler preseason game.
We were up early for church, where I dashed out of to make it to my gym to teach Insanity. It was a great workout, as usual.
Gym selfie, you’re welcome
Aaron went off to his hockey game shortly after I returned, and then we ran errands at a few stores. The highlight was getting a new light for the kitchen! Ours was weird and super low light, but didn’t use typical lightbulbs. We finally got a new one, which Aaron describes as “he installed the Sun.” It is very bright, but I desperately wanted it, making it perfect!
I’m off to the outlets today to hopefully get some new shoes! Have a great day!
