Happy Saturday, everyone! So far my weekend is shaping up to be very nice! I started Friday off with an early morning workout at my parents (like 5:30 am and no one was home…) and then subbed at the school down the road. After school I went to a book fair with my momma before heading grocery shopping.
One store near us, Shop ‘n’ Save, has 2 day sales every so often. These sales are unbelievable and the store is packed (oh btw, I used to work there…). Thursday and Friday happened to be one of these sales, so I also went there after the book fair to stock up on food! I do love getting grocery shopping out of the way before the weekend, though. Cross that off the list for next week! My night concluded with my aunt, uncle, and cousins stopping by on their way to a football game, and Bridget stopping by after coming home from school! I also caught up with some friends, which made the night even better
Today is going to be a great day, too! Aaron got tickets for him, Matt, and myself to go to the Pens’s game today! Woo! I can’t wait. Matt is a huge Penguin lover, but tickets are hard to come by, so I’m glad he can come with us!
Before we head down to the game, though, we are going to the Strip District. I was there for my first time a few weeks ago, but Matt and Aaron have never been. I bought Aaron some coffee from down there that he loved, and Matt wants to check out a Beer place, so that’s on our agenda before the game!
This week’s long run is 10 miles. I know my actual race is 10 miles, but with my stomach issues, I really want to make sure I can do it before the race. Physically, I know my legs can handle it. It’s just the sickness I endure after, and the amount of pain I am in during it that I worry about. My plan was to get it in this morning, but it will probably be pushed back until tomorrow because of our fun day today. Maybe I’ll do it later today, but doubtful. Wish me luck!
Here’s where you come in!
Alright, so Halloween is coming up in the near future (too soon actually) and I need your help. I personally don’t really enjoy Halloween. I hate spending money on costumes, and usually they make me feel uncomfortable all night. However, all of my friends enjoy it and are most likely heading out to the bar (uhm, I don’t enjoy that part either..) next weekend. Last year I went to a Halloween concert, where I went as a Bear, and them met up with our friends after. Aaron went as Oscar the Grouch, and won $500 for best costume! He literally pulled that together 2 hours before he needed to leave.
This is where you come in! I need help with some costumes! What are your favorite costumes? Or what have you been in the past few years that I can pull off easily? Aaron and I were even giving in to a couple costume this year, maybe.I would prefer not to spend too much money, and be able to get it by next weekend (Pittsburgh is celebrating it the weekend before Halloween). Feel free to leave links!
Have a great Saturday everyone! Whatever you have on your plans, make it a great one, and just enjoy your day!
