Hello, folks! I started my nanny job yesterday, and it looks like my hands will be full this summer! I had to lay down the “you will not walk all over me this entire summer, I have rules” kind of law. I am thinking it was because I was new, so I couldn’t let them take advantage of me right off the bat! Like, we can’t run around the house with a stick in your hand and perhaps jamming it into your brothers eye. Hmm, we’ll try again tomorrow! Ha It really wasn’t bad, but all kids need rules, and a 2 and 4 year old certainly need them!
Before heading to work, I woke up and completed 35 minutes on the elliptical (Itty Bitty Cardio), and the Surfer’s Paradise workout from Tone It Up. It felt great to break a sweat first thing in the morning! I enjoyed some salsa cheesy eggs, with a side of turkey bacon and half a bagel (with the middle cut out, pretty much as always!). It was delicious, and filling!
After arriving home at 1:30, I was starving. I made myself a green smoothie, which took me like an hour to eat. Seriously, does anyone else take forever with smoothies? Haha I also got to work on a new craft project I’m working on! It was a great, relaxing day. The weather was in the low 70s, and was an overcast day, so it made for the perfect lazy day!
We can’t all be lazy, though, and need to make sure we are keeping ourselves active! Thankfully, I have a new workout for you that will leave you finished in no time!
Being that I only have a treadmill and an elliptical at my use, I centered the workouts around that! Let me know what you think!
For each weight set, perform the exercises as a superset. For instance, do 10-12 bicep curls, 10-12 tricep extensions, repeat 2 more times, then move to the next set. Do the same thing before going on to the cardio.
This workout is called “In a flash” because it will be over in a flash! Switching between lifting and cardio will keep you flying through and be done before you know it!
I hope you enjoy it! Use a weight that is challenging to you for the weight exercises. If you don’t know some of the moves, either Google it or email me and I’d be happy to explain!
