Hello all! I hope you had a fantastic weekend. Mine has been semi-relaxing, as it’s the last weekend before my wedding, and last weekend before a lot of busy ones! I am so excited for things coming up, but trying to take everything in before its over.
Even though my weekend was quite uneventful, it was still marvelous!
I went for a make up trial on Friday at Sephora, which was the first time I had been in there. I know, what was I thinking?! It is a magical place, and one that I could spend hours admiring, and an entire wallet buying. I know I had a make up trial a few weeks ago, but I just didn’t like it. She didn’t do anything special, and kind of weirded me out. I did my own make up for Jenn’s wedding last year, and decided I would buy some products and do my own this year, too. I headed to Sephora to have the make up trial just to see different things to use. I never wear lipstick, so I needed that, and I wanted to have a dramatic eye look so it looks like I am the bride! I loved the lady who did my trial, and bought a few products that I know I will use!
Friday night was my first time going to a Drive In. Aaron and I chose to see Despicable Me 2, and This is The End. We arrived at 9:00, which is when they said it would begin. Unfortunately, it didn’t start until around 9:30, which meant it didn’t end until 11:00. Obviously you all know I’m not a late one, but I stayed awake through the entire movie! Aaron fell asleep, which was not expected. Since he was already asleep, I figured he wouldn’t want to stay until the next movie. It would’ve been after 1 when we left, and it was about 45 minutes away, so we chose to leave. I’m a little bummed out that we didn’t see the second movie, but I thought Despicable Me 2 was so funny. Aaron and I laughed throughout it, and I may want to see the first one now! This is so unlike me… I don’t like animated movies. Haha I know, so weird. But, maybe I’m beginning to come around since the animation movies are becoming more life-like.
We had two free drinks and a popcorn with our Groupon. I guess I haven’t had movie theater popcorn in a really long time, but it just didn’t do it for me. We ended up eating a couple handfuls, and then moved on to the pretzels I brought (I always bring extra snacks!).
Saturday was a day spent finishing some wedding tasks. And some that weren’t. Aaron was off enjoying Part 1 of his Bachelor Party, while I was at home building him a work bench! I know, me.. a builder? Haha My dad loves woodwork, and needed some help cutting wood, staining it, and putting it somewhat together! Aaron was more than excited for it! He had no idea he was getting one anytime soon, so he was thrilled.
I also managed to finish the programs, and finish working on the Bridesmaid gifts. My mom helped, and we tackled all the projects! There is actually nothing left that I have to do! Big projects, anyway. I’m sure little things will pop up!
Saturday night was a going away party for one of our friends. We went down to Southside (quick note: a Steelers linebacker was at the Bar with us, talking to our friends!) and had a lot of fun. Everyone was talking about our wedding and how excited they were for it, which obviously made me so much more excited! It was just fun to be around everyone!
Sunday morning, my cousin Kristy and her kids came over to see our house! I love showing people our house. It’s just so fun to me! I came home and hung out with my mom for the afternoon. Part 2 of Aaron’s Bachelor party was yesterday, so my dad and brother went while my mom and I cleaned. Yep, we tackled my room. You can’t really see a huge difference (I can, but no one else can) but we tackled all miscellaneous things; my desk, hair stuff, bathroom stuff, random bins of things, nail polish, etc. I still have my clothes left, but hopefully that won’t be bad.
I spent the evening planning my week with my parents, and also planning my workouts! Hard to believe next week at this time I will be on a cruise! Wahooo!!!
And in case you missed my picture on Instagram (@fitncookies.. follow me!)…
Except now it is only 5!
What exciting things did you do this weekend?
What workouts are on your schedule for the week?
Have you ever seen a celebrity or sports player out in public? Could you recognize him or her? I definitely would never recognize anyone. The only reason I asked Aaron who it was was because 1. he was huge. Tall and large, and 2. everyone was around him taking pictures!
