Hey guys! Let’s have a chat over some tea today!
If we were having tea, I’d talk to you about how the mornings have been freezing, frost even!, but I am not ready to give up watermelon. We’ve had one that I’ve been dragging out for the last few weeks because I am going to miss it!
On that frost note, the other evening was chilly but we wanted to go outside. I pretty much died at the hat and gloves!
I’d also share that a year ago, today, I went into labor with Annabelle. While I don’t remember all the pain really, I do know it was a lot and that makes me cringe, ha!
I’d tell you that today I’m off to buy the last of the food we will need for Saturday and start making food for the party! When we created the guest list, we definitely didn’t think that many people would be able to make it. To know we have over 100 family and friends who have cleared their schedule to come celebrate our baby means so much to me. I’ve gotten to the point where I know it will be great no matter what decorations I have forgotten!
On the same note, I’d ask you to say a prayer that Annabelle doesn’t fight her naps and is able to get them in a little bit earlier so she’s ready for her party! Oh, and that the weather stays nice. The problem with having it at a park… ha
I’d bring up Chipotle and tell you I had a BOGO Tuesday that Emily sent me, and even though it didn’t expire until the end of November, we used it Tuesday. We’re all big fans!
Hmm, what else has been going on? I’d ask how you are, what’s new with you, how your family has been? I’d want to know what you are up to this weekend.
Yesterday was a beautiful day so Annabelle and I went to the park for a walk/run. Of course, now our walks include the park halfway through! She loves the playground. I ended up waking up feeling 100x worse yesterday morning. Thought for sure I had Strep, but a trip to Urgent care proved not. I chose to try and find a sub for my class just so I didn’t have to make my throat worse by cueing and such, and to take it easy. Sad to miss it, but sometimes it’s needed.
Aaron and I are both off tomorrow and can’t wait to spoil A all day! I’m not sure what we are going to do. Anyone have ideas? I’m thinking a trip to the park for sure. I thought about the zoo but we’d have to go in the afternoon and fighting rush hour doesn’t sound fun to me, haha. I’m trying to think of cute traditions to start for birthdays, too!
I’d ask you if you had any birthday traditions growing up, or any you hope to start with your kiddos. We always chose dinner for our birthday growing up.
And then we’d have to wrap up with Annabelle is getting up from her nap and I have to be on mom duty!
What’s new with you?
Birthday traditions growing up?
