Well hi there everyone.
I want to say I’m sorry for the absence, but that bother’s me when I read others apologizing for living their life and stepping away from blogging. But, I have missed you all and have missed blogging. So here I am apologizing for the same thing.
You see, it’s not so much that life has been crazy busy. It has, but in such fun ways. Ways that leave me exhausted at the end of the day and make me just want to relax. They are ways that made the house a “mess” but in the best possible way because it was making Annabelle happy and creating memories.
Life has surprised us in numerous ways lately and we just have been completely in tune with what we’re doing. I’m in a phase of life that I’m trying hard to put my family first always, which means saying no to others and sometimes that’s hard! But for us, that means making more memories and having more fun.
This isn’t to say that things have been all peachy around the Brown household. Oh on contraire! There’s been teething (finally!), there’s been late nights and early mornings, there’s been another round of sickness (A first and now me), there’s been Aaron traveling, and there’s been some crabby times. I thought I’d settle back into a routine after planning A’s party but it just hasn’t happened. I’m trying to roll with it and be ok with it. Key word: trying.
As much as I love this blog, it’s 100% a hobby. Sure I get free products and have sponsored content sometimes, but it’s not paying any bills and so if right now I get 2-3 posts a week up, that’s great! I’m not about putting a hobby above things that have to be done or that I want to do instead. Lately I just haven’t felt like opening my computer during nap time or after A goes down. I’ve actually been getting back into a workout groove during nap time, so that’s life.
But, like I said, life has been pretty fun. Here’s a look at what we’ve been up to!
Caste Village Trick or Treating:
We took Annabelle to a local strip mall with our nephews and SIL and BIL for trick or treating this past weekend. She was the cutest little elephant and we even had a free hay ride by a horse, which was fun! The weather was less than stellar, but it was fun!
My brother got engaged:
Can’t leave this one out! Shelby will officially be apart of the family next year! Matt proposed at a pumpkin patch and we are thrilled.
Out to dinner:
We went out to Walnut Grill with Matt, Shelby, and my parents Monday night. I was so worried Annabelle would be terrible because she didn’t nap well and was a crabby mess before we left but she was amazing and had a blast. Tip: order kids food as soon as you get there and then they aren’t starving and beside themselves.
Annabelle and I went to my cousin Jenn’s on Friday night for game night. We actually didn’t play any games but had lots of fun. A had a blast in Madison’s play room!
We are loving any runs that take us outside these days! It was such a gorgeous week last week to go running in the afternoons! This week is a bit cooler but we’re soaking it all in!
