One of my favorite new(er) bloggers is stopping by today! I have loved Emma’s blog since I found it, and can’t wait to hear more of her daily musings, as well as take in the cuteness of her babe! (Gentry, that is) Please enjoy this post; I know I did!
Thanks Heather for asking me to take over your blog for a day! I hope you are soaking up some sun and fun for all of us!
I’m Emma and I blog over at A Mom Runs This Town. Come say hi after you finish reading Heather’s amazing blog sometime!
Don’t you love when you hear old songs you’ve forgotten about?
Here’s one I heard the other day
And I immediately starting crying.
Please excuse me and my motherhood sappiness.
But it got me thinking. Am I living for the little moments in life or focusing too much on the big ones?
If you ever visit my blog, I’m ALWAYS complaining about the heat and my training.
I’m also ALWAYS referring to the ups and downs of my pie in the sky goal
But what about appreciating those little moments that make those big ones happen?
Like me testing out PocketFuel during my run only to find out it’s actually an entire jar of almond butter in 1 squirt and my mouth became insta fly trap
realizing I left for a run with my daughter only half clothed and 0 doggy bags for my dog’s 3 poops?
coming back from a miserably hot run to this. Who doesn’t love to grill out to this scene in their neighbor’s backyard? At least it wasn’t the front?
Or even trying to squeeze in an ab workout while the babe plays only to come up from a plank to this
So, are you (like me) forgetting to catch the little moments because of everything else going on in your life?
Training plans, weight loss, PR’s… they’re all quantitative.
I ran 30 miles last week.
I lost 20 pounds this year.
I got my 3:30 BQ time!
Today, I want to challenge you to instead
What little moment has happened to you recently?
