I have teased you long enough. I am finally sharing pictures of my new room! I am sorry they are delayed. It took a little while to spray paint frames, fix up the edges, and rehang everything. Actually, it didn’t take too long, but I just never got around to it during the week
As I mentioned, we had painted the entire house, minus one hallway and the guest room. Everything was an off white before we moved in. I knew I wanted a mint green color for the family room, and when we picked samples, Aaron thought it looked more blue and I thought mint (how we thought different, who knows!) and we decided to paint the room. However, we weren’t really fans. The room was a bit too big for a mint, and it was lighter than I wanted, and not what Aaron thought. He referred to the room as “Mint Chocolate Chip” since we had brown furniture. Neither of us really thought anything of repainting because we were tired of painting, but I decided to tackle it last week. I also decided I really never liked the bathroom (lime green pretty much!) but Aaron chose that shower curtain and I lived with it. Clearly painting that room while painting the family room made the most sense It didn’t take too long. My mom helped me because she loves to paint, and we started around 11 and finished by 4:30 with both rooms! Our bathroom is not large by any means, but the family room is and has two hallways.
Ignore the fourth of July decorations. I started painting a sample before I took a before picture! Oops!
I also decorate for Snowmen season after Christmas, so I decided to throw some pictures of those decorations in, too!
The shower curtain pretty much matched that and the blue towel. It was the only room Aaron really decorated in our house, haha.
I’m currently undecided on the shower curtain, but also couldn’t find a way to snap a pic. I am between a dark purple or a blue and white one. It’s a lighter blue, but we shall see what I choose.
All in all, we love it. The house feels so much more homey and the color is perfect. I was nervous, but I did buy two samples for both rooms and tried them out first. I did have to buy new curtains for the family room because the brown was too much that we had on there before. The white is a perfect accent color. Combined with our floors and baseboards, it all matches so well. The bathroom needed new towels and shower curtain. I went with tan towels and rug because I knew the shower curtain would be a pop of color (whichever we decide on! ha)
So there you have it! Hope it was worth the wait
